This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with critical datasets that power production trading algorithms in a high-performing, data-driven environment. The Data Analyst will be responsible for maintaining the integrity and reliability of mission-critical financial data, curating and onboarding new datasets, and developing automated processes to scale data pipelines. You will collaborate closely with research staff and engineers to drive improvements in data quality and ensure continuous operation of production systems. The position provides a mix of hands-on technical work, process optimization, and problem-solving in a collaborative team environment. Accountabilities: · Share an on-call rotation to monitor and maintain production-critical systems for continuous operation. · Perform manual steps and develop automated processes to ensure the completeness and accuracy of large financial datasets. · Collaborate with research staff to curate, onboard, and integrate new and existing datasets. · Drive continuous improvements to data quality procedures and develop standardized metrics for monitoring and reporting. · Design and implement systematic, scalable, and reliable processes for data-consumption pipelines. · Analyze data issues, identify root causes, and recommend solutions to improve system performance and reliability. · Degree in a technical field (computer science, data analytics, or related). · Coursework or relevant training in data analytics, programming, or computing systems. · Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities, including pattern detection, root cause analysis, and issue resolution. · Experience with Python and libraries such as pandas, as well as SQL and relational database systems. · Interest in programming, data analysis, and process improvement. · Preferred: hands-on experience with Linux, exploratory data analysis, applied statistics, and software development processes. · Competitive base salary: $115,000 – $125,000 (depending on experience and location). · Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage. · Life and AD&D insurance. · Paid time off: 20 days plus 9 sick days. · 401(k) plan with company match. · Opportunities to contribute to process improvements and work alongside experienced professionals in machine learning and finance. · Collaborative, intellectually stimulating, and supportive work environment.
