This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Compliance & Risk Management Lead in the United States. The Compliance & Risk Management Lead will play a pivotal role in establishing and operationalizing an enterprise risk management (ERM) program for a large municipal energy and utilities organization. This senior advisory position requires hands-on leadership, guiding executives and cross-functional teams to implement policies, governance structures, risk assessment methodologies, and enterprise reporting. The role emphasizes embedding a risk-aware culture, driving compliance practices, and integrating risk frameworks into strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will provide actionable insights, develop scalable processes, and ensure robust ERM practices across the organization. This position offers a high-impact, collaborative environment with opportunities to influence enterprise-wide risk strategies. \n Accountabilities: Develop and implement ERM policies, governance structures, risk taxonomies, risk registers, ranking criteria, and reporting capabilities. Operationalize risk identification, assessment, mitigation, and reporting processes across the enterprise. Influence organizational culture to promote risk awareness and compliance at all levels. Collaborate with executives, operational leaders, and cross-functional teams to integrate risk management into decision-making and performance processes. Design templates, dashboards, governance documentation, and scalable processes to support enterprise risk programs. Lead facilitation sessions, provide coaching, and transfer knowledge to client personnel. Monitor risk trends, provide actionable insights, and recommend improvements to strengthen organizational resilience. Requirements: Candidates should have extensive experience in enterprise risk management, compliance, and advisory services. Required qualifications include: 10+ years of leadership experience in ERM, corporate compliance, or risk governance. Proven success in building and implementing ERM programs within complex, highly regulated environments. Deep knowledge of ERM frameworks, methodologies, tools, and maturity models. Exceptional communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and coaching skills. Ability to analyze complex risk issues and translate them into clear priorities and actionable strategies. Experience working in matrixed organizations or consulting environments. Familiarity with regulated sectors such as utilities, energy, public sector, infrastructure, and critical services. Comfortable leading onsite engagements, managing multiple priorities, and driving execution under tight timelines.
