As a Backend Developer, you will be a key contributor in designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance server-side systems for innovative applications. Accountabilities Develop, test, and deploy scalable backend applications using Java, Python, or functional programming languages. Maintain and enhance backend infrastructure, including deployment, monitoring, troubleshooting, and cloud management. Design, implement, and optimize data pipelines, detection algorithms, and time-series data processing. Collaborate with product stakeholders, front-end engineers, and IoT teams to ensure seamless integration and delivery of solutions. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines, testing protocols, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) practices. Contribute to the design and documentation of APIs, data models, and system architecture. Participate actively in Agile development practices, including sprint planning, code reviews, and knowledge sharing. 6+ years of experience building scalable backend software solutions. 5+ years of experience with web frameworks and cloud platform management (preferably AWS). Strong experience with databases, especially PostgreSQL, TimescaleDB, and API design (REST, GraphQL). Proficiency in Java and Python, with experience in functional programming languages such as Elixir, Erlang, Clojure, or Haskell. Experience designing and maintaining data pipelines, signal processing, and IoT integrations. Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code, deployment automation, and CI/CD tools. Solid understanding of software quality, testing practices, and full development lifecycle. Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience. Plus: Experience in mobile or front-end development, embedded firmware, electrical engineering, or electronics prototyping. Competitive annual salary range of $91,000 to $130,000, commensurate with experience. Participation in annual Short Term Incentive plan.
