This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Back-End Developer in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to design and build scalable, high-performance backend systems that power connected cloud-based applications. The Back-End Developer will be responsible for developing server-side logic, creating robust APIs, and ensuring secure, efficient, and reliable application performance. You will collaborate closely with front-end developers, product experts, and cross-functional teams to deliver seamless integration and optimal user experiences. This position is ideal for developers who thrive in dynamic, innovative environments and are motivated by solving complex technical challenges. Strong cloud development, containerization, and database management skills are essential. The role offers the chance to contribute directly to impactful IoT and connected technology solutions. Accountabilities: · Design, develop, and maintain backend systems to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability. · Build and implement RESTful APIs for seamless communication between server-side and client-side systems. · Containerize applications using Docker for consistent deployment across environments. · Implement robust data security measures and best practices to protect sensitive information. · Optimize applications and containers for speed, efficiency, and resource utilization. · Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve server-side issues, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities. · Collaborate closely with front-end developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated and functional solutions. · Produce clear and comprehensive technical documentation. · Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. · 5–7 years of professional experience in backend web development for commercial production products. · 3+ years of experience programming in Python and Python-based backend frameworks (e.g., Flask). · Proficiency with backend programming, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and database management systems (MySQL, MongoDB). · Experience with containerization, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices. · Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and ability to optimize for performance and scalability. · Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills. · Certifications in backend frameworks or cloud platforms are a plus. · Competitive salary range: $74,035–$150,000 (may include discretionary bonuses and incentives). · Health, dental, and vision insurance. · 401(k) plan with company matching contributions and discretionary contributions. · Tuition reimbursement programs. · Life and disability insurance. · Maternity and paternity leave. · Employee discounts and wellness programs. · Paid vacation (15 days) and 12 company holidays. · Employee Assistance Program and other professional development opportunities.
