This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Azure Data Engineer (Python/SQL) in [United States]. As an Azure Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics solutions in a cloud-based environment. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform raw data into actionable insights, ensuring high-quality, efficient data flow. This role requires expertise in Python, SQL, and Azure services to implement and optimize data solutions. You will contribute to enterprise-wide data initiatives, support testing and documentation, and help establish best practices for performance and maintenance. The position offers a collaborative environment with opportunities to become a subject matter expert while working on innovative data projects that impact business decisions. Strong problem-solving, communication, and technical skills are key to your success in this role. Accountabilities Create and maintain data pipelines leveraging existing data ingestion frameworks and tools. Orchestrate pipelines using Azure Data Factory and related services. Develop and enhance data transformations to load data into Enterprise Data Lake, Delta Lake, and Synapse Analytics. Perform unit testing, coordinate integration testing, and support user acceptance testing (UAT). Produce high-level designs, detailed documentation, and runbooks for data pipelines. Configure compute resources, enforce data quality rules, and optimize performance. Collaborate with teams to ensure seamless data integration and governance across projects. Minimum 3 years of experience with Databricks Data Engineering, DLT, Azure Data Factory, SQL, PySpark, Synapse Dedicated SQL Pool, Azure DevOps, and Python. Preferred: experience with Azure Function Apps, Azure Logic Apps, COSMOS DB, and advanced PySpark. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Azure Databricks, Azure DevOps, Databricks Delta Live Tables, and Azure Data Factory. Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a relevant field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
