This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Associate Director, Data Management in the United States. This role provides a unique opportunity to lead data management initiatives for complex clinical studies, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and actionable data across the drug development lifecycle. You will oversee outsourced clinical data management teams, collaborate cross-functionally with clinical operations and quality assurance, and drive best practices in clinical data oversight. The position emphasizes strategic leadership, hands-on problem solving, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure clinical study success. You will have the autonomy to influence processes and the responsibility to deliver accurate, timely, and compliant data for impactful clinical research. This role is fully remote, allowing flexibility while maintaining strong collaboration with global teams. Accountabilities In this role, you will: Lead and oversee outsourced clinical data management (CDM) activities across global studies, from study startup through database lock and archiving. Serve as the primary point of contact for CROs, ensuring compliance with project plans, timelines, and regulatory standards including 21 CFR Part 11. Provide expert guidance to study teams on data-related decisions, resolving issues and escalating when necessary to maintain study integrity. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Clinical Operations and Quality Assurance, to ensure data quality, traceability, and alignment with strategic objectives. Drive process improvements and implement best practices to enhance data management efficiency, quality, and compliance. Mentor and guide data management professionals, fostering professional growth and high-performance standards. Candidates should have: Minimum of 7 years of clinical data management experience, including managing global studies using outsourced CDM models. Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and expectations for clinical data systems, particularly 21 CFR Part 11. Experience with EDC systems such as Medidata Rave. Proven ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary, remote or hybrid team. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to improve data management processes. Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related field; ophthalmology experience preferred.
