This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Assistant Program Director in the United States. In this role, you will support the leadership and day-to-day management of a youth education program focused on high school students who are over-age, under-credited, or have adult responsibilities. You will help ensure the program delivers academic support, career exploration, work preparation, and internship opportunities. The role involves managing staff, maintaining program data, developing partnerships with employers, and guiding students in achieving life and career goals. You will collaborate with internal teams, oversee program logistics, and ensure compliance with program requirements. This position combines strategic oversight with hands-on operational work, providing an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ educational and professional development. \n Accountabilities: Assist the Program Director in supervising and managing all aspects of the youth education program. Oversee and administer the internship component, ensuring students are matched with appropriate opportunities. Supervise Student Advisors, monitor attendance outreach, and ensure accurate documentation in program databases. Maintain fiscal records and submit reports, including payroll and budget tracking. Develop and cultivate relationships with employers to create and maintain internship and employment opportunities. Support students in career planning, job search, resume and cover letter development, and interview preparation. Facilitate seminars on job readiness and other relevant topics. Lead program initiatives, events, and field trips, and serve as acting director when required. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.W.); advanced degree a plus. Minimum of two years’ experience in youth services; prior supervisory experience preferred. Strong verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, and other relevant applications. Knowledge of community service and youth development programs.
