This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead application operations for large-scale, mission-critical platforms in a fully remote environment. You will oversee a team of engineers, ensuring system stability, incident resolution, and continuous service improvement across cloud-based applications. The position involves hands-on leadership in troubleshooting, operational monitoring, automation, and process enhancements, with direct impact on platform reliability and business continuity. You will collaborate closely with IT, development, and business stakeholders to coordinate fixes, implement preventive measures, and drive operational excellence. Ideal candidates are proactive, technically skilled, and experienced in managing complex cloud applications in fast-paced environments. \n Accountabilities: Lead a team of Application Operations engineers and contractors, managing day-to-day support of critical applications Oversee incident management, root cause analysis, and post-mortem reviews to minimize business impact Serve as a subject matter expert and primary escalation point for complex technical issues Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiency enhancements Manage on-call rotations, ensuring timely response and stakeholder communication during incidents and planned outages Develop and maintain documentation, knowledge base articles, and dashboards to improve team performance and first-time resolution rates Collaborate cross-functionally to support platform changes, feature rollouts, and compliance initiatives Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Finance, or related quantitative field Minimum of 10 years of experience in application support or similar technical roles, with at least 5 years in management Proven leadership in incident response, operational excellence, and managing production outages Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), relational databases, PL/SQL, and observability tools (CloudWatch, Splunk, Dynatrace) Hands-on experience with ITIL incident, problem, and change management processes Excellent communication, mentoring, and problem-solving skills Audit and regulatory compliance awareness (SOC1, SOC2, or equivalent) Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends or after business hours Benefits: Competitive salary range: $181,000 – $205,500, plus performance-based bonus 401(k) plan with company match Comprehensive healthcare coverage (medical, dental, vision) Paid time off (PTO) and flexible work arrangements Professional development and career growth opportunities Supportive, collaborative, and remote-friendly work environment \n Why Apply Through Jobgether?
