As an AI Data Science Research Specialist, you will join a cutting-edge research team focused on developing novel machine learning and AI systems. You will work on designing and implementing experimental frameworks, real-time data management methods, and neural network architectures to solve complex, data-intensive problems. This role allows you to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, contribute to fundamental AI research, and innovate in areas such as neuro-symbolic AI, deep learning, and simulation-based learning systems. You will write modular, testable research code, extend evolving codebases, and help optimize system components while contributing to hypothesis-driven experimentation. Accountabilities Develop modular, testable code to implement data management methods, statistical analyses, or architectural mechanisms. Extend and optimize evolving codebases to support structured learning experiments and neural network frameworks. Organize and maintain internal data structures for system components, including experimental runners, memory modules, and parameter schedulers. Write structured logging and diagnostic tools to support hypothesis-driven debugging and experimental validation. Collaborate closely with research scientists to translate conceptual research questions into computational implementations. Participate in the design, implementation, and iteration of simulation-based and real-time AI systems. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and security standards while performing research activities. Ph.D. in Data Science, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field from an accredited university. Minimum of 5 years of experience in fundamental data science research and implementation in academic, private, public, government, or military environments. Strong fluency in Python and experience with object-oriented and functional programming paradigms. Comprehensive understanding of deep learning internals, embeddings, attention mechanisms, optimization, and data parallelization. Experience with statistics, including detection theory, frequentist and Bayesian methods, and estimation theory. Familiarity with neuro-symbolic AI systems and AI research frameworks. Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, fast learning ability, and solid communication skills. Comfortable working in a collaborative team with evolving problems and shared codebases.
