Job Description: Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive legal assistant to support a high-volume legal practice focused on commercial collections and fiduciary litigation. In this role, you’ll help attorneys stay on track, manage deadlines, and keep clients informed. You’ll play a key part in organizing cases, preparing filings, and reviewing financial records to ensure smooth operations. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys structure, communicates clearly, and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. • Monthly Compensation: 1,150 USD to 1,220 USD. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Maintain and organize 60–70 active commercial collections cases • Track deadlines and ensure attorneys stay aligned with case progress • Prepare and e-file simple pleadings and hearing documents • Proofread legal documents and manage calendars • Communicate with courts and opposing counsel • Provide timely updates to clients on case status • Cover responsibilities for Ally when needed • Review and analyze financial documents (e.g., balance sheets, P&L statements, bank records) • Assist with fiduciary litigation and financial mismanagement cases Key Skills, Traits and Values: • Excellent project management and organizational skills • Strong writing and proofreading abilities • Financial acumen and ability to interpret business records • Friendly, proactive, and team-oriented mindset • Learner attitude with attention to detail • Clear communicator who asks questions and avoids assumptions • Committed to keeping clients informed and satisfied Requirements: •Minimum of 1 year of experience as a legal assistant, or in a legal support role and/or related Bachelor's degree in legal studies •Proficiency in digital tools (e.g., Clio, MyCase, Microsoft Office, VoIP platforms) •Advanced/native-level English skills (both written and spoken) • Familiarity with financial documents and basic GAAP principles is a plus • Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously Software: • Clio (preferred) • E-filing platforms Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM EST Timezone: Eastern Standard Time (EST), US.
