Job Duck is hiring a virtual V105- Legal and Administrative Support Specialist Job Duck is a virtual staffing company that matches candidates to work from home for a single U.S.-based business, in most cases a law firm. Job Description: Summary If you thrive in a fast-paced legal environment and love making a difference in people’s lives, this role is for you. As a Legal and Administrative Support Specialist you’ll be the go-to person for organizing schedules, supporting legal processes, and keeping clients informed and cared for. Your attention to detail and ability to stay calm under pressure will help the team meet critical deadlines and deliver exceptional service. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative team and values clear communication, empathy, and reliability. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Schedule Management • Set and coordinate court dates, mediations, and hearings • Arrange meetings with clients • Court Filings • Handle e-filing and service of legal documents Client Relations • Manage communications and provide regular updates to clients Document Organization • Maintain and organize client files systematically • Update practice management software • Create notice notes and applicable documentation for review • Conduct conflict checks Deadline Tracking • Monitor and ensure adherence to critical deadlines Legal Research • Conduct research pertinent to ongoing cases • Gather appropriate legal documentation/forms from clients Document Preparation • Draft and proofread legal documents and correspondence Administrative Support • Perform general administrative tasks to support daily operations • Forward clients to appropriate team members Key Skills, Traits and Values: • Strong organizational and time management skills • Detail-oriented with a proactive mindset • Excellent written and verbal communication • Empathetic and client-focused • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team • Adaptable and calm under pressure • Committed to confidentiality and professionalism Requirements: •2-3 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a legal support role • Bachelor's degree in Law is a must •Advanced/native-level English skills (both written and spoken) • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines • Strong interpersonal skills Working Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM EST Timezone: Eastern Standard Time (EST), U.S. Work Shift: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM [EST][EDT] (United States of America) Languages: English, Spanish We believe that Every Great Person Deserves a Great Job.
