Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred, 3+ years in career services or recruiting, strong communication and coaching skills, proficiency with Microsoft Office and student record systems, organized and goal-oriented.
About the Role We are seeking a Career Counselor to help students and graduates prepare for their careers and secure meaningful employment. This role combines employer outreach, externship coordination, and career coaching to connect students with opportunities in their field. What You’ll Do • Build relationships with local employers and develop job opportunities. • Guide students through career readiness activities (resume prep, mock interviews, job search strategies). • Conduct workshops on professional development and employability skills. • Coordinate and oversee externship placements, including site development and student support. • Track certification/licensure progress and support graduates in securing employment. • Maintain accurate records, meet performance metrics, and support campus events like graduation. What We’re Looking For • Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred. • 3+ years of experience in career services, recruiting, or job development. • Strong communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and student record systems. • Organized, goal-oriented, and comfortable working with metrics.
