JLL Facility Manager Job Description: Oversees the physical operations and environment of a healthcare facility, ensuring a safe, compliant, and functional setting for patient care, staff, and visitors. Key responsibilities include managing building systems (HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical), coordinating maintenance and repairs, ensuring compliance with healthcare-specific regulations and codes (EPA, OSHA, CDC), managing budgets and resources, overseeing facilities staff and contractors, and implementing emergency preparedness and infection control plans. Key Responsibilities Maintenance & Operations: Supervise the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of all building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, and medical equipment. Safety & Security: Implement and maintain safety protocols, manage access control, and ensure the security of the facility and sensitive patient data. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility adheres to all relevant federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including those from the EPA, OSHA, and CDC. Infection Control: Develop and enforce policies to prevent the spread of infection and maintain a clean environment. Budget & Resources: Develop and manage budgets, monitor expenditures, and make strategic decisions regarding resource allocation to maintain facility operations. Emergency Planning: Develop and implement plans for emergencies, such as fire safety and power failures, to ensure patient and staff safety during critical events. Work Orders, Staff & Contractor Management: Lead and manage facilities staff, including recruitment, training, and performance evaluations, and oversee external contractors performing work on the facility. Construction & Planning: Oversee facility upgrades, renovations, and new construction projects, ensuring they remain on time and on budget. Utilities Management: Manage the procurement and generation of utilities and their distribution systems. Essential Skills Leadership & Management: Ability to lead teams, set goals, and motivate staff. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of building systems, equipment, and healthcare-specific infrastructure. Organizational Skills: Proficiency in planning, scheduling, and coordinating complex tasks and projects. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with medical and administrative staff, external vendors, and regulatory bodies.
