Job Title: Product Procurement Specialist As a Product Procurement Specialist at Jetro Restaurant Depot, you will play a crucial role in acquiring and delivering products efficiently and profitably for assigned product lines. Collaborating with the Sr. Director of Purchasing and Senior Buyers, you will help drive the company's objectives and ensure seamless supply chain and inventory management for actively promoted categories. Key Responsibilities include: • Order products to align with forecasted demand while ensuring optimal costs and service quality. • Assure adherence to established company policies and procedures. • Aim to achieve inventory turnover goals without compromising service levels. • Work collaboratively with various departments to fulfill purchasing responsibilities. • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal teams, including store operations and distribution centers. • Analyze acquisition costs to ensure competitive pricing while considering quality and urgency. • Evaluate inventory status, market conditions, and promotional impacts to provide accurate order forecasts and support the merchandising team. • Conduct post-promotional reviews to assess success and identify improvement areas. • Address and resolve inventory issues arising from allocations or orders. • Review daily and weekly metrics to optimize costs, quality, service levels, and inventory turns. • Visit stores as needed to gather feedback and evaluate program effectiveness. • Manage Accounts Payable discrepancies for distribution-sourced items to ensure pricing accuracy. • Investigate store billing inquiries and provide resolutions as necessary. • Maintain comprehensive departmental records and files. • Coordinate with Warehouse Operations to ensure timely product flow. • Utilize remote access for procurement tasks when necessary. Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Economics, Accounting, or Finance. Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years in Purchasing or Vendor Management within retail or related industries; experience in grocery, candy, or beverage sectors is advantageous. • Preferred experience in Marketing/Logistics or a strong grasp of store operations and merchandising practices. • Solid understanding of grocery procurement, logistics, inventory management, and financial management practices. • Exceptional organizational and analytical capabilities with a proactive approach to decision-making. • Strong planning and organizational skills. • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills to build effective relationships. • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel, alongside the ability to maintain focus amid interruptions.
