Position Summary The Analyst, Fatigue Risk Management System supports the implementation and ongoing improvement of the JetBlue Fatigue Risk Management System and framework, under the Safety Department. With a specialization in applied human fatigue-related scientific principles and operational knowledge application, this position is integral in administering a data-driven approach to processing, analyzing and investigating issues within fatigue reports, scheduling data and other relevant information sources.   Essential Responsibilities Support the Manager Fatigue Risk Management System and Fatigue Team in the implementation and ongoing improvement of the Fatigue Risk Management Plan (FRMP and the IFRMP) and on occasion pursuing an FRMS in accordance with FAA regulations and guidance Assist in coordinating resources and participating in the processing of fatigue reports resulting from callouts, hazards and non-concurrences to extensions, including collating evidence from several databases and sources, to facilitate accurate and timely FRMT voting Help to investigate, analyze and research fatigue reports and related scheduling and operational data to identify fatigue trends and associated flight safety risks Assist in projects to analyze key fatigue trends within the airline, using scientific literature and operational safety information, as well as documenting and presenting outcomes to key stakeholders Conduct statistical/scientific analysis studies to support any FAA Fatigue Risk Management System applications Act as liaison (or assist) with representatives from operational departments, Union and/or Values Committees and the FAA regarding the development and administration of the JetBlue FRMP Assist with administering the Fatigue Review Board (FRB) Develop and improve reporting metrics to quantify fatigue risk within the JetBlue operation Develop communications and promotions information for Crewmembers and other key internal stakeholders, providing critical feedback for fatigue risk management awareness Utilize predictive fatigue modelling software to analyze planned and actual pairings, schedules and personal histories Participate in airline safety industry conferences, groups and associations to promote JetBlue fatigue practices Adheres to all Safety and Security regulations Other duties as assigned   Minimum Experience and Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in aviation management, safety, human factors, statistics, data science, other related field; OR a demonstrated capability to perform job responsibilities with a High School Diploma/GED and four (4) years of relevant work experience One (1) years’ experience working with safety management, data management, flight operations and/or scheduling systems  Ability to conduct or support data and/or statistical analyses to provide meaningful and actionable insight that improve JetBlue’s safety performance Individual must demonstrate initiative and assertiveness Proficient with Microsoft Office Knowledge and understanding of flight and duty time regulations (e.g. FAR117) Experience setting up and executing data analyses and studies Ability to act as a Safety Ambassador for the organization (internally and externally) Strong written and verbal communication skills Problem solving skills Available for occasional overnight travel (10%) Must pass a pre-employment drug test Must be legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located Authorization to work in the US is required. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship   Preferred Experience and Qualifications Experience in the application of Fatigue Risk Management Systems and Human Factors principles Exposure to and/or training in Human Factors, aviation safety investigations, and Root Cause Analysis Knowledge in the utilization of fatigue modelling software i.e. SAFTE-FAST Proficient in using CrewTrac Proficiency in Business Intelligence &/or Statistical software (i.e. Tableau, SAS, R, Python, SPSS, Snowflake, SQL) Experience in Operations / Crew Services   Crewmember Expectations:  Regular attendance and punctuality Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice Able to maintain a professional appearance When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable Crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft Must be an appropriate organizational fit for the JetBlue culture, that is, exhibit the JetBlue values of Safety, Caring, Integrity, Passion and Fun Must fulfill safety accountabilities as prescribed by JetBlue’s Safety Management System Promote JetBlue’s #1 value of safety as a Safety Ambassador, supporting JetBlue’s Safety Management System (SMS) components, Safety Policy and behavioral standards Identify safety concerns, issues, incidents or hazards that should be reported and report them whenever possible and by any means necessary including JetBlue’s confidential reporting systems (Aviation Safety Action Program (ASAP) or Safety Action Report (SAR)) Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws, regulations (FAA, OSHA, DOT, etc.) and Company policies, procedures and risk controls Uphold JetBlue’s safety performance metric goals and understand how they relate to their duties and responsibilities The use of ChatGPT or any other automated tool during the interview process will disqualify a candidate from being considered for the position.   Equipment: Computer and other office equipment   Work Environment: Traditional office environment Extensive and varied travel Irregular working hours (Including the weekend on occasion) Comfortable with changing priorities with short notice   Physical Effort:   Generally not required, or up to 10 pounds occasionally, 0 pounds frequently. (Sedentary)   Compensation:  The base pay range for this position is between $64,350.00 and $89,600.00 per year. Base pay is one component of JetBlue’s total compensation package, which may also include access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, crewmember stock purchase plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, free space available travel on JetBlue, and more.
