General Manager / Operating Partner (Exempt) Jersey Mike’s Subs – Pleasanton, CA Pay Range: $75,000-$95,000 annually + monthly bonus + quarterly profit sharing (Final compensation is based on experience, performance, and location.) Compensation & Benefits • Competitive salary within the stated pay range • Monthly performance bonus • Quarterly profit sharing • Health, dental, and vision insurance • Retirement plan • Paid time off in accordance with California law • Free food and beverages while working • Ongoing leadership and professional development Essential Job Duties The General Manager / Operating Partner is responsible for the overall performance of the restaurant, including: • Recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and developing a team of approximately 20–30 team members • Leading by example to deliver exceptional customer service and hospitality • Ensuring compliance with all company policies, brand standards, and food safety requirements • Managing labor, inventory, ordering, and cost controls • Owning restaurant P&L performance and driving profitability • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized restaurant environment • Conducting performance evaluations and coaching team members • Supporting local store marketing and community initiatives • Overseeing all front- and back-of-house operations Qualifications • High school diploma or equivalent • Minimum three (3) years of restaurant management experience, including at least one (1) year in quick-service or fast-casual dining • Experience managing financial performance, including labor and food costs • Familiarity with POS systems and operational reporting • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment • Proficiency with basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office or similar) Physical Requirements • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation • Ability to work in environments with varying temperatures typical of a restaurant setting Additional Requirements • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between locations as needed • Ability to complete a paid management training program • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require Equal Employment Opportunity Jersey Mike’s Subs is an equal opportunity employer.
