As we continue to grow throughout North America, we continue to develop and improve the presence and awareness of our brand. We are seeking an experienced QA Manager to lead quality assurance efforts for our ecommerce platform and larger ecommerce ecosystem. This is a foundational role where you'll initially work independently to establish QA processes and standards, with the opportunity to build and manage a team as we scale. You'll be: Developing and owning end-to-end QA strategies and testing frameworks for our current ecommerce platform and future Shopify-based, headless architecture Validating custom storefront implementations and ensuring secure, reliable integration with Shopify’s Storefront API Designing, executing, and maintaining test plans, test cases, and test scripts using TestRail or similar tools Managing and tracking defects, security vulnerabilities, issues, and development tickets in Jira Continuously performing “bad actor” testing to ensure ecommerce rules, restrictions, and controls cannot be bypassed Validating authentication flows, session management, and security protocols across a headless architecture Testing caching strategies, CDN configurations, and performance optimizations to ensure speed and reliability Ensuring proper error handling, graceful degradation, and fallback mechanisms across platforms Organizing and conducting functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing across web and mobile Planning and executing distributed load and performance testing Partnering closely with engineering, product, and operations to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle Establishing QA metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track quality trends and identify risk areas Liaising with third-party testing agencies when additional capacity or specialization is needed Building, scaling, and leading a QA team over time, including hiring, training, and mentoring Creating and maintaining QA documentation, processes, and best practices Staying current on ecommerce trends, QA tooling, and modern testing methodologies You'll have: 5+ years of QA experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior QA role Strong Shopify experience, including understanding of Shopify's architecture, apps, integrations, and checkout processes Strong understanding of headless commerce architecture and how decoupled systems interact Proven experience with test management tools (Jellycat uses TestRail) Expert-level proficiency with Jira for defect tracking and project management Deep understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and software development lifecycles Experience working independently to establish QA processes from the ground up Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Our Perks & Benefits: Discretionary Bonus - All employees are eligible for a discretionary annual bonus based on the success of the company.
