Senior Electrical Engineer Location: Katy, TX | Experience: 7+ years | Industry: BESS, Hydrogen Fuel Cells, Industrial Power Systems Jelec is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design and integration of advanced industrial power systems, including battery energy storage systems (BESS), hydrogen fuel-cell generators, and containerized power platforms. Responsibilities • Design LV/MV power conversion systems (AC/DC, DC/DC, DC/AC) for industrial applications. • Create one-line diagrams, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and protection plans. • Select major components (inverters/AFEs, transformers, switchgear, sensors, relays, battery components) and build complete BOMs. • Develop work instructions, test procedures, and production documentation. • Support manufacturing, wiring, panel builds, and prototype assembly. • Integrate Li-Ion battery systems and hydrogen fuel-cell electrical subsystems. • Ensure designs comply with UL, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and other applicable standards. Requirements • BS in Electrical Engineering (minimum); MS or PE license a plus. • 7+ years in electrical design for power conversion, BESS, fuel cells, or industrial power systems. • Strong proficiency in schematics, one-lines, component selection, and manufacturing processes. • Experience with power electronics, battery systems, and/or hydrogen fuel-cell integration. • Excellent documentation skills and ability to support production and testing teams.
