To learn more visit www.phalconusa.com Job Description The Life Safety Project Manager will lead and coordinate all phases of the project lifecycle across multiple, concurrent fire alarm and life safety system installations. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on delivering scope, budget, and schedule commitments, while building strong relationships with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and technically strong—comfortable managing complexity and communicating effectively across teams. • Manage execution and successful delivery of assigned life safety/fire alarm projects • Serve as the primary point of contact for the fire alarm vendor and related stakeholders • Develop and maintain detailed work breakdown structures and schedules • Coordinate with internal and external teams, promoting collaboration and open communication • Partner with support departments to define, track, and deliver key milestones • Organize and maintain all project documents, drawings, and correspondence using designated software • Manage subcontractors and oversee material procurement and delivery • Process project documentation including RFIs, submittals, change directives, and change orders • Lead regular internal and client-facing project meetings, ensuring alignment and accountability • Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned and embracing new technologies • Execute project close-out activities, including punch list management and cost reconciliation Required Knowledge & Skills • Strong working knowledge of fire alarm systems and electrical construction practices • Familiarity with national, state, and local fire/life safety codes • Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical, mechanical, and security system drawings • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, take-offs, and general project documentation • Solid understanding of project management methodologies • Proactive, organized, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Bluebeam, CAD, and project scheduling software preferred Education & Experience • 5+ years of experience in electrical or fire alarm construction project management • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered • Design/layout experience in fire alarm and area of rescue systems strongly preferred • NICET or equivalent fire alarm certification is a plus • Experience reviewing electrical blueprints, specifications, and proposals is highly desirable Additional Requirements • Must pass background screening and 10-panel drug test Work Environment This position is primarily office-based but will require periodic visits to active construction sites. During site visits, the Scheduler may need to navigate temporary stairs, uneven terrain, or other typical construction conditions. Physical Demands This role requires the ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer, with occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching. The employee may occasionally need to lift items weighing up to 25 pounds, such as project documents or equipment. While the position is primarily office-based, periodic visits to active construction sites are required. During these visits, the employee must be able to navigate temporary stairs, uneven terrain, and outdoor conditions. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety glasses, and steel-toed boots, may be required while on site.
