Job Description Summary Seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud & Backend Engineer with a strong background in cloud-native development, medical imaging standards (DICOM/DICOMWeb), and device-to-cloud integration. Candidate will play a key role in building secure, scalable, and compliant systems that connect medical devices to the cloud, enabling real-time imaging workflows and data analytics. Key Responsibilities • Design and implement cloud-based pipelines for ingesting, storing, and processing DICOM imaging data from edge devices. • Develop and maintain backend services and APIs using modern frameworks (e.g., Python, Java). • Integrate with DICOMWeb services, including STOW-RS, WADO-RS, and QIDO-RS, for image upload, retrieval, and query. • Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., AWS CDK, Terraform). • Ensure secure data transmission using TLS, IAM, and OAuth2, with full audit logging and compliance with HIPAA and FDA 21 CFR. • Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions. Required Qualifications • 5 6 years of experience in cloud computing (preferably AWS). • Strong backend development skills in Python and Java. • Hands-on experience with DICOM and DICOMweb, especially STOW-RS for image ingestion. • Experience integrating medical devices or edge systems with cloud platforms. • Familiarity with PACS, or similar imaging systems. • Solid understanding of HIPAA, data privacy, and security best practices. Preferred Qualifications • Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines. • Background in medical device software and clinical workflows.
