Executive Director / General Manager – Holistic Memory Care (Multi-Site) Location: Greater Sacramento Area (multiple residential care homes) Schedule: Full-Time, Salaried, In-Person Total Compensation: $80,000 – $120,000 (Base Salary + Performance Bonuses) About Jazba Care Jazba Care is a boutique, multi-site memory care–only organization providing holistic, relationship-driven care in residential home settings. We are intentionally disrupting traditional, institutional dementia care by prioritizing dignity, consistency, human connection, and non-pharmacological approaches whenever safely possible. Our homes are calm, structured, and deeply personal — and our leadership must reflect the same. Role Overview The Executive Director / General Manager (ED/GM) is the highest on-site operational leader across all Jazba Care homes. This role owns the execution of a 24-hour, people-driven operation and ensures that care, staffing, compliance, and customer experience are consistently upheld across multiple locations. The ED/GM reports directly to the Owner/CEO through structured check-ins and operates with autonomy, accountability, and strong judgment. All homes are within the greater Sacramento area, requiring regular travel between sites. Key ResponsibilitiesHolistic Memory Care Leadership • Uphold Jazba Care’s dignity-first, holistic memory care philosophy • Ensure residents are supported through routine, familiarity, engagement, and respect • Guide teams toward thoughtful, non-institutional care practices • Collaborate with families and providers to avoid unnecessary or excessive medication when appropriate Multi-Site & 24-Hour Operations Leadership • Lead and stabilize a 24/7 residential care operation • Ensure seamless operations across multiple homes at all hours • Anticipate and resolve operational issues before escalation • Serve as the highest on-site authority for decision-making People Leadership, HR & Labor Compliance • Lead all House Managers and ensure they fully own daily home operations • Maintain strong employee relations rooted in professionalism, fairness, and accountability • Ensure adherence to labor laws, wage and hour compliance, breaks, and scheduling practices • Address performance issues, corrective actions, and terminations appropriately and in a timely manner • Support staff retention through structure, presence, and leadership consistency • Oversee and accountable for 20-25 current staff projected to increase 34-40 in Q2 of 2026. • Oversee and managment of recruitment team and ensuring pipeline to talent is efficent. • Managing performance evaluations, disiplinary actions. Customer Service & Family Experience (Critical) • Serve as a visible, trusted leadership presence for residents’ families • Ensure families experience warmth, responsiveness, and professionalism at every touchpoint • Be present for all move-ins and key family interactions • Address concerns proactively and empathetically before escalation This is a customer-service-driven leadership role. Strong soft skills and emotional intelligence are essential. Staffing, Coverage & Labor Oversight • Own staffing strategy and coverage oversight across all homes • Ensure appropriate staffing levels aligned with census and acuity • Monitor overtime, call-offs, and labor efficiency • Partner with recruiting support to maintain a strong talent pipeline Compliance, Licensing & Documentation • Ensure all homes remain licensing-ready at all times • Maintain strong documentation, reporting, and operational standards • Identify compliance risks early and implement corrective action • Ensure physical plant, safety, and cleanliness standards are consistently met Systems & Operational Ownership • Oversee scheduling systems, payroll validation, and care documentation workflows • Ensure systems support teams and reduce operational friction • Fully absorb day-to-day operational execution currently held by leadership What This Role Is NOT • Not a caregiving or shift-based role • Not a remote position • Not a purely administrative or desk-based job This role requires presence, leadership maturity, and operational ownership. Required Qualifications • Experience leading operations in a 24-hour or multi-shift environment • Demonstrated people leadership with strong HR and employee relations experience • Working knowledge of labor laws, wage and hour compliance, and scheduling practices • Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills • Experience managing managers or supervisors • Ability to make sound decisions in fast-paced, people-driven environments • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between multiple sites Preferred (Not Required) • Memory care or dementia-specific leadership experience • Experience in holistic, person-centered, or non-institutional care models • Multi-site operational leadership • RCFE Administrator experience or certification Compensation & Benefits • Total Compensation: $80,000 – $120,000 • (Base salary plus performance-based bonuses) • Full-time, salaried position • Professional development opportunities • Opportunity to help redefine memory care in your community This role is ideal for a leader who: • Excels in people leadership and customer service • Understands the complexity of 24-hour operations • Leads with empathy, structure, and accountability • Believes memory care can — and should — be done better • Wants to build something meaningful, not just manage a schedule Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year Work Location: In person
