About The Role As an Associate Counsel, you will help Jasper draft, review, and negotiate inbound and outbound commercial agreements, including customer, vendor, channel partner, and other sales and supply agreements. This fully remote role reports to the Senior Counsel, Head of Commercial Legal and is open to candidates located anywhere in the continental US. What you will do at Jasper Draft, review, and negotiate commercial AI SaaS contracts and other technology and AI-related agreements with customers, vendors, and channel partners, and manage regulatory, compliance, and operational issues that arise. Analyze and navigate cutting-edge legal and technological issues in AI. Help ensure commercial agreement processes and systems scale and evolve to serve new initiatives. Provide training and develop resources in support of our sales and other cross-functional teams. While the principal job will be as described above, for lawyers interested in learning more about product counseling, IP law, litigation and disputes, there will be ample opportunities to broaden your expertise. What you will bring to Jasper A law degree and admitted to practice law and in good standing in at least one jurisdiction. 2+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience. Transactional background, including with SaaS, technology, and/or IP licensing and commercial agreements. Ideal qualifications include experience with commercial deals involving generative AI and knowledge of intellectual property issues as they relate to generative AI models and familiarity with Ironclad CLM. Compensation Range At Jasper, we believe in pay transparency and are committed to providing our employees and candidates with access to information about our compensation practices. The expected base salary range offered for this role is $140,000 - $180,000. Compensation may vary based on relevant experience, skills, competencies, and certifications.
