The Supply Chain Manager will oversee and optimize the end-to-end supply chain operations to ensure the timely, cost-effective, and efficient movement of goods. This role is critical to the company’s ability to meet customer demand, maintain inventory levels, and drive operational excellence. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Supply Chain Manager will lead the shipping and receiving teams, collaborate with internal departments, and spearhead continuous improvement initiatives. This position also involves fostering relationships with suppliers and freight carriers, implementing best practices, and enhancing overall supply chain performance. The Supply Chain Manager is responsible to perform all duties to ensure the monthly Supply Planning processes are completed to support the integrated planning processes. Responsible for the creation, execution and maintenance of the Supply Plan from the Demand Forecast including the creation of the Master Production Schedule and medium-term capacity loading outlooks. Develop proactive strategies to anticipate and mitigate issues and risks with respect to supply planning. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: • Embrace and exemplify company’s core values of Trust, Support, Communication, Collaboration, and Creative Solutions. • Oversee daily operations of shipping, receiving, inventory control, and supply chain activities. • Verify and maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring all documentation is compliant with company standards. • Prepare and organize support documents (e.g., packing slips, bills of lading) for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely delivery and receipt of goods. • Ensure accurate reconciliation of purchase orders (POs), packing slips, and receipts to maintain inventory integrity. • Coordinate with internal teams (sales, production, administration, purchasing) to ensure seamless execution of orders, timely shipments, and correct product handling. • Monitor and resolve discrepancies related to shipments, inventory, or documentation as they arise. • Lead the creation and maintenance of the monthly supply plan based on demand forecasts and master production schedules. • Develop proactive strategies to identify potential supply risks and mitigate issues in the supply chain. • Optimize inventory levels by managing excess and obsolete stock and ensuring alignment with the company’s inventory targets. • Implement processes to monitor and manage inventory turnover, ensuring FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices are followed. • Facilitate cycle counting and ensure accurate physical and electronic inventory records across various warehouses (e.g., assembly room, 302 warehouse, plate, 708 warehouse). • Maintain control over raw materials, finished goods, and rental kits, ensuring traceability, condition assessments, and readiness for shipment. • Manage relationships with freight carriers, third-party logistics providers, and contract couriers to ensure efficient transportation and cost-effective shipping solutions. • Ensure compliance with international shipping regulations and prepare required documentation for global shipments. • Oversee and reconcile special project shipments and truckload orders, ensuring timely and cost-efficient deliveries. • Monitor outbound manufacturing product status to ensure timely shipment, taking action to resolve any potential delays. • Coordinate after-hours operations for high-profile traffic movements and urgent shipments. • Continuous Improvement & Performance Management: • Identify opportunities for process improvement in inventory management, warehousing, and logistics to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs. • Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing the flow of goods through the supply chain and warehouse. • Develop and implement strategies to optimize space utilization, increase warehouse efficiency, and improve customer service levels. • Analyze key supply chain metrics and develop performance indicators to measure and enhance department efficiency. • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by sharing best practices and driving innovation within the team. • Manage and mentor the supply chain team, providing clear direction, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities. • Conduct regular team meetings, encouraging open communication and collaboration to align team goals with company objectives. • Hold team members accountable for their performance, setting clear expectations and ensuring alignment with departmental and organizational goals. • Create and implement efficient workflows, work standards, and departmental performance indexes to track progress and ensure quality service delivery. • Collaborate with the Director of Operations, manufacturing, sales, and purchasing teams to align supply chain operations with company objectives and customer requirements. • Participate in daily production meetings to provide updates on materials, inventory levels, and potential supply chain risks. • Communicate effectively with management and other departments regarding any supply chain issues, delays, or inventory challenges. • Execute various tasks, as assigned by your manager, supervisor, or company officer, whether within your standard duties or as requested beyond regular responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS: Education • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or related field. Work Experience • 5+ years of experience in supply chain with inventory control, logistics, production planning, scheduling, and purchasing/contract negotiations preferably within a manufacturing environment. Skills • Proficiency in using ERP systems (SAP or similar) for inventory, production planning, and logistics management. • Experience managing supplier and freight carrier relationships to optimize service and cost. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills. • Expertise in inventory control, supply chain optimization, and production planning. • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software (e.g., EPICOR, SAP). • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with both internal and external stakeholders. • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capacity to mentor, train, and manage team members effectively. • Proven ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives and operational excellence. • Forklift certified preferred. • Strong commitment to safety and compliance with all regulatory requirements. • Flexibility to manage after-hours operations, when necessary, especially for critical or high-priority shipments. • Ability to perform in a collaborative, fast-paced environment with a focus on achieving organizational goals. Physical Requirements • Ability to lift, climb, bend, stoop, push, and pull. • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods. • Must be able to sit at a desk or stand for long periods. • Moderate physical effort, with frequent handling of weights ranging from 10 to 50 pounds. • Strong eye/hand/foot coordination. • Good visual acuity and coordination skills. • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, including cold, hot, dusty, and noisy areas.
