Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field, with problem-solving skills, teamwork, motivation to learn, and bonus experience in CAD tools, manufacturing, and measurement tools.
JAKTOOL is accepting applications for Engineering Interns to support hands-on work across design engineering, manufacturing, quality control, and/or sourcing. You’ll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining real-world experience contributing to product development and production support in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. What You’ll Do (Depending on Team Assignment) • Assist with CAD design work, concept development, and design reviews • Support prototype fabrication, testing, and evaluation • Help maintain product documentation (drawings, specs, assembly instructions) • Participate in quality inspections using precision measurement tools • Contribute to research on materials, processes, and industry trends • Work hands-on in the machine shop and production area, supporting prototype builds and manufacturing activities (e.g., assisting with manual/CNC machining workflows, setups, and preventative maintenance/calibration of equipment) • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing and quality control What We’re Looking For • Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or related field • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Comfortable working in a team-based environment • Motivation to learn and take initiative Bonus experience (not required): • CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) • Machine tools (mills, lathes, grinders, CNC) • Measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, CMM, optical comparators) • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and GD&T Why JAKTOOL You’ll gain meaningful experience on real engineering work—supported by a team that values collaboration, learning, and getting hands-on.
