Qualifications • Minimum of two years experience in custodial work • Ability to understand and carry out instructions • Ability to supervise personnel • Be willing to work after hours and weekend emergencies Reports To Principal; Custodial Foreman Supervises Custodians Job Goal To provide and maintain a safe, attractive, clean, and comfortable environment conducive to teaching, learning, and student development Essential Functions • Opens building prior to workday • Secures building after working hours • Reports any building problems to maintenance • Inventories all cleaning supplies • Reports, in writing, any personnel problems • Assists in cleaning building • Assists in personnel evaluations • Performs other related duties as requested or assigned Evaluation Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel. Salary Information Classification: Custodian, Head (School Building) Scale: Classified Grade: C Days Employed: 241 days per school year Range: $17.50 Beginning Salary: $17.50 per hour Exception: JPS employees should refer to the Classified Employee Pay Scale Rules of Administration and Implementation.
