Oversee multiple retail offices, manage staff recruitment, and ensure financial and operational performance.
Requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent, supervisory experience, and comfort with office and tax software.
Description: As a Multi Store Operations Manager at Jackson Hewitt, you will serve as a vital leader for our frontline teams during the busiest and most impactful time of the year for our clients. We recognize that for many hardworking Americans, their tax refund is their largest annual paycheck, and your role is to ensure our offices run seamlessly to deliver those results. You will oversee the daily rhythms of several tax offices within a specific district, balancing the logistical needs of the facilities with the mentorship of our seasonal staff. This is a high-energy role that requires a blend of operational savvy, people management, and a commitment to financial integrity. Qualifications: • A Bachelor’s degree or a comparable background in business operations. • At least two years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity. • Strong technical aptitude, including comfort with office software and the ability to troubleshoot basic IT or tax software issues. • Prior experience in tax preparation or accounting is a significant plus. • Must have or be able to obtain a Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN). • Background in management or tax-related coursework is preferred. Benefits: • Competitive hourly pay ranging from $25.00 to $29.00. • Flexible work-from-home arrangements where operational needs allow. • Opportunity to work with a national leader in the financial services industry. • Hands-on experience in high-volume retail operations and financial management. Responsibilities: • Direct the end-to-end recruitment cycle for seasonal staff, from sourcing candidates to conducting final interviews for your assigned territory. • Oversee the physical readiness of multiple storefronts, including office build-outs, equipment setup, and ongoing facility maintenance through vendor relationships. • Analyze financial health by monitoring P&L reports, managing cash control, and ensuring each location meets its specific revenue and return-count targets. • Act as a point of escalation for complex tax issues or sensitive client disputes, providing professional resolutions and guidance. • Manage administrative workflows such as shift scheduling, payroll approval, and coordinating with HR to resolve any personnel matters. • Conduct regular performance audits to ensure tax preparers are meeting quality standards and adhering to strict compliance protocols.
