The Technical Product Manager, Data Insights & Analytics is responsible for defining, delivering, and continuously improving Kimedics’ analytics and data insights capabilities. This role exists to transform complex operational and financial data into trusted, actionable insights that are embedded directly within the Kimedics platform (vie embedded analytics vendor). The position partners closely with customers, Product, Engineering, Data, and Customer Success to design scalable analytics solutions that support critical decision-making. This role also owns metric definitions, data quality, and the end-to-end delivery of analytics features. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES: Analytics Product Strategy, Design, and Delivery- 75% Own the product roadmap and execution for analytics, reporting, and data insights within the Kimedics application. Work directly with customers to understand analytical, operational, and financial decision-making needs and translate them into clear, scalable product requirements. Design and define complex calculations, KPIs, and financial models that support customer performance measurement and decision-making. Partner closely with data engineering to define data models, transformations, and metric logic that ensure accuracy, scalability, and performance. Collaborate with report builders and software engineers to deliver intuitive dashboards, reports, and self-service analytics experiences embedded on the platform. Own metric definitions, assumptions, and edge cases to ensure consistency, accuracy, and trust across all analytics. Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, drivers, and opportunities that improve customer outcomes. Own user acceptance testing (UAT) and quality assurance (QA) of analytics and data outputs prior to customer release. Stakeholder Communication and Continuous Improvement- 25% Present analytics concepts and insights clearly to customers and internal stakeholders, translating complex data into actionable understanding. Deliver customer specific report and analytics requests working directly with Customer Success, clients and our report builder Define success metrics for analytics features and continuously iterate based on customer feedback, usage data, and performance results. Stay current on analytics, business intelligence, and data product best practices to continuously improve the platform’s insights capabilities. SECONDARY FUNCTIONS (IF APPLICABLE) May work on special projects or other duties as assigned SUPERVISORY/BUDGETARY/EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION RESPONSIBILITY Responsible for managing our Report Builder Responsible for client facing communications related to report building QUALIFICATIONS – EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS Bachelor’s in Analytics, Finance, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline 5+ years of experience in product management, analytics, business intelligence, or a related role. Strong background as an analyst, BI analyst, analytics engineer, or finance/FP&A analyst Previous experience with BI and analytics tools KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Ability to adhere to and exhibit the Company Values at all times Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams Experience with BI and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker, Tableau, Mode, Metabase, or similar) Strong background as an analyst, BI analyst, analytics engineer, or finance/FP&A analyst Deep comfort with complex calculations, financial models, and multi-variable metrics Strong understanding of financial and operational concepts such as revenue, costs, margins, utilization, forecasting, and scenario modeling Solid understanding of data modeling and ETL/ELT processes Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills - both oral and written.
