POSITION PURPOSE: The Senior Vice President Education Division will guide the strategy, design, and launch of HWL’s education vertical, expanding HWL’s vendor-neutral, technology-enabled Managed Service Program (MSP) and Vendor Management System (VMS) model into the K–12 and early childhood education markets. This role will establish HWL as a strategic connector and systems integrator in education, curating and managing networks of approved staffing and service partners to help school systems achieve greater transparency, efficiency, and excellence in workforce and educational service delivery. HWL’s vendor-neutral model offers an innovative solution to one of education’s most persistent challenges: helping schools gain timely access to the people and services needed to support positive outcomes for students and school communities. Beyond workforce coordination, the Senior Vice President Education Division will also guide strategic expansion into broader educational services that enhance school and district capacity, including program and curriculum design, leadership development, professional learning, and organizational consulting. The position combines vision and execution, leading the strategy, systems, and team that will bring HWL’s mission to life in education. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES 1. Assumes responsibility for vision and strategy. Establish the education vertical’s structure and roadmap in alignment with HWL’s larger mission and organizational values. Define success metrics for growth, quality, and impact across markets. 2. Assumes responsibility for cross-functional integration. Collaborate across HWL’s existing divisions to leverage internal systems, technology, and expertise. Translate proven MSP and VMS practices from healthcare into education while identifying opportunities for innovation and adaptation. 3. Assumes responsibility for partnership ecosystems. Develop and manage a curated network of education staffing and service vendors. Build transparent frameworks for vendor qualification, performance measurement, and collaboration. 4. Assumes responsibility for operational systems. Design and implement efficient processes for client intake, vendor onboarding, and compliance management, aligning with HWL’s existing infrastructure for data visibility and accountability. 5. Assumes responsibility for education services and innovation. Pilot and expand value-add programs to strengthen educator capacity and support school success. 6. Assumes responsibility for team development and leadership. Develop and lead a high-performing internal team to execute the division’s strategy, manage partnerships, and sustain long-term innovation. 7. Assumes responsibility for thought leadership and market expansion. Represent HWL in the national education community, positioning the division as a collaborative partner for educational innovation and impact. 8. Assumes responsibility for establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members. Attends meetings as required (both virtually and/or in-person as required). Examples include mandatory internal meetings as needed and required, as often as monthly or quarterly, in-person meetings with clients, conferences, events, seminars, etc. PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS 1. Strategic Launch & Market Entry Successfully design and implement the strategy for HWL’s education vertical within the first 12 months. Achieve launch milestones for MSP and VMS solutions in at least 3 K–12 school systems or early childhood education organizations. 2. Vendor Network Development Establish and curate a network of approved staffing and service partners within the first year. Ensure vendor compliance and maintain a vendor-neutral model with 100% adherence to HWL standards. 3. Operational Excellence Implement systems and processes that achieve 95%+ accuracy in workforce coordination and service delivery. 4. Stakeholder Engagement Build and maintain relationships with key education leaders and decision-makers; secure at least 2 strategic partnerships QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification Bachelor’s degree required. MBA in Business or Marketing or related field preferred Eligibility Requirements: All candidates must be able to fulfill E-verify requirements. Required Knowledge: Deep understanding of K-12 and early childhood education systems Knowledgeable of education workforce models Working knowledge of Managed Service Programs (MSP) and/or Vendor Management Systems (VMS) Experience Required: Minimum 10 years of experience in K-12 Education Skills/Abilities: Strategic leadership ability to set vision, define roadmaps, and execute growth strategies for a new business vertical. Strong ability to translate complex concepts across sectors, adapting to healthcare MSP/VMS best practices Ability to design and implement scalable operational systems and processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Demonstrate commitment to values-driven leadership Work Schedule: This is a full-time remote position. Standard business hours are Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Additional time outside of these hours may be needed to complete the essential functions of the job.
