Requires 3-5+ years in sales training or enablement, experience onboarding and certifying new reps, and working with performance data.
Sales Training & Development Manager — Jack Westin MCAT Prep | Medical School Admissions | Tutoring Jack Westin is hiring a Sales Training & Development Manager to own the growth, performance, and skill development of our sales team. This role is the engine that turns new hires into certified, high-performing reps — and keeps the entire team sharp, accountable, and improving. You'll spend your days training recruits, reviewing calls, coaching reps, identifying performance issues, and working with our recruiting pipeline to ensure we're bringing in the right people. You'll be the direct link between sales execution and results. This is not a traditional sales manager role. You won't own revenue targets or build strategy — that stays with leadership. Instead, you're the person who makes sure every rep knows what to do, how to do it well, and improves over time. What You'll Do Daily Train and Certify New Hires • Run structured onboarding for every new sales rep • Teach sales processes, product knowledge, objection handling, and communication standards • Administer certification requirements before reps go live (mock calls, knowledge checks, script mastery) Coach the Active Team • Review call recordings regularly to identify strengths, weaknesses, and coaching opportunities • Deliver 1-on-1 feedback sessions with reps to address performance gaps • Run ongoing training sessions on new strategies, messaging updates, or skill reinforcement Monitor Performance and Flag Issues • Track key metrics (conversion rates, call quality, activity levels) to spot underperformance early • Escalate concerns to leadership with clear recommendations (coaching plans, PIPs, or terminations) • Work with leadership to implement performance improvement strategies Support Hiring and Recruitment • Participate in second-round interviews for sales candidates • Conduct and evaluate mock sales calls during the interview process • Help manage Indeed postings and sourcing channels to keep the pipeline full • Partner with the recruiting lead to ensure we're hiring people who can be trained successfully Occasionally Take Calls • Jump on sales calls in urgent or high-stakes situations to support team capacity • Demonstrate best practices in real-time for training purposes Who You Are You have: • 3–5+ years in sales training, enablement, or coaching (ideally in a call-based or inside sales environment) • Experience onboarding and certifying new sales reps from scratch • A track record of improving team performance through call reviews and direct coaching • Comfort working with performance data and identifying patterns in rep behavior • Experience in education, admissions, coaching, tutoring, or consultative services is a strong plus You're great at: • Listening to calls and giving actionable, non-judgmental feedback • Building training materials and repeatable certification processes • Spotting skill gaps quickly and creating focused development plans • Holding people accountable while staying supportive and motivating • Working cross-functionally with recruiting and leadership You're energized by: • Helping people get better at their craft • Building structure and consistency in how teams operate • Turning raw talent into polished, confident sales professionals What This Role Is Not • You won't own revenue targets or build sales strategy — leadership handles that • You won't manage recruiter outreach or sourcing full-time — you'll support hiring, not own it • You won't be the final decision-maker on terminations — but your input will matter • This is a training, coaching, and performance role — not a traditional sales leadership position. Why This Role Matters Every rep who closes a deal, handles an objection well, or helps a student make a confident decision does so because someone trained them. That someone will be you. You'll directly shape how our team shows up on calls, how quickly new hires ramp, and how consistently we deliver a great experience to prospective students. You'll be the reason the team improves — week over week, rep by rep.
