We bring trusted expertise, partnership, and integrity to hospitals and health systems nationwide, helping teams improve accuracy, elevate performance, and build sustainable, thriving operations. Our team members are more than subject matter experts, they are collaborators, teachers, and problem-solvers who lead with purpose and show up with excellence every day. Position Summary The Revenue Integrity Director is a senior leader responsible for driving strategic revenue integrity initiatives across J2's client portfolio and supporting the growth and evolution of J2's Revenue Integrity service line. This role serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership within hospitals and health systems, partnering with CFO's, Revenue Cycle VP's, Compliance, HIM, CDI, PFS, and Clinical Operations teams to reduce revenue leakage and strengthen enterprise-wide charge capture and billing compliance. This leader will oversee complex revenue integrity programs, guide large-scale assessments, develop governance structures, and deliver measurable financial outcomes. The role requires deep expertise in hospital reimbursement and charge capture workflows, strong executive presence, and the ability to lead both people and projects in a fast-paced consulting environment. In addition to client delivery, this position plays a key role in internal team development, service line strategy, and methodology refinement. Key Responsibilities • Lead enterprise revenue integrity strategies and initiatives within J2 and across multiple hospital and health system clients, ensuring measurable financial outcomes. • Provide leadership and oversight for charge description master (CDM) and fee schedule strategy in partnership with Finance and IT, ensuring accurate, compliant pricing and charge structures for hospital and professional services. • Serve as a trusted executive advisor to CFOs, Revenue Cycle leaders, Compliance, HIM, and clinical leadership teams. • Direct charge capture assessments, workflow evaluations, and revenue leakage investigations across hospital and professional billing environments. • Establish and implement sustainable governance models, controls, and accountability structures to strengthen revenue integrity performance. • Oversee compliance risk assessments and ensure alignment with CMS, HIPAA, OIG guidance, NCCI edits, and payer-specific billing requirements. • Provide strategic leadership for audit preparedness, payer review response, and corrective action planning when compliance risk is identified. • Analyze KPIs, denial trends, claim edits, and charge activity to identify root causes, prioritize opportunities, and quantify revenue impact. • Develop and deliver executive-level reporting, dashboards, and actionable recommendations to client stakeholders. • Partner cross-functionally with Coding, CDI, HIM, Finance, and clinical operations to improve documentation integrity and charge accuracy. • Lead process redesign efforts that strengthen charge capture workflows, reduce charge lag, and improve clean claim performance. • Guide optimization efforts related to charge router logic, charge review workqueues, and downstream billing processes. • Design and deliver education and training programs for clinical departments and revenue cycle teams to support sustainable compliance and performance. • Provide oversight, mentorship, and quality assurance for revenue integrity consultants and project teams supporting client delivery. • Support the growth of J2's Revenue Integrity service line through methodology development, tool creation, and best practice standardization. • Define and operationalize a scalable revenue integrity operating model (charter, governance, KPIs, escalation paths) that can be replicated across J2 clients. • Represent J2 Integrity Solutions as a leader and brand ambassador, strengthening long-term client relationships through integrity, professionalism, and partnership. • Other duties as assigned. As a growing company, we evolve quickly. This role requires flexibility, initiative, accountability, and a willingness to step into new opportunities. You won't do this alone – our team supports one another, adapts together, and embraces the work of building something special. QualificationsExperience • Certification: • * RHIA, RHIT, CHC, CPC, CHRI, CRCR or equivalent coding credential preferred. • Epic certification preferred. • Education: • * Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field. • Experience: • * 10+ years of progressive experience in revenue integrity, charge capture, compliance, hospital billing, CDM, coding, auditing, or revenue cycle leadership. • Prior consulting experience or multi-facility health system leadership strongly preferred. • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and influencing cross-functional teams. • Demonstrated track record of improving revenue capture, reducing denials or writeoffs, and strengthening billing compliance through revenue integrity initiatives. • Technical Proficiency: • * Experience with EHR, revenue cycle systems, charge reconciliation workflows, and reporting tools. • Strong working knowledge of claim edit management, denial reporting, compliance monitoring, and reporting tools. • Skills: • * Executive presence and ability to engage confidently with C-suite and senior leaders. • Strong analytical and financial acumen with ability to quantify impact. • Strategic thinking paired with hands-on operational execution. • Strong communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) • Ability to influence without authority and drive change across complex environments • High accountability and strong project management discipline. • Strong leadership mindset focused on coaching, collaboration, and sustainable improvement • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and client satisfaction. • Comfort facilitating executive levellevel discussions, synthesizing complex issues, and balancing financial, clinical, and compliance perspectives.
