Overview Assembly of power distribution equipment, including sheet metal, busbars, and electronic components, following established guidelines under general supervision. Key Responsibilities • Assemble major structures and subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, torque drivers, and inspection tools. • Verify accuracy and quality per control procedures. • Operate forklift and overhead cranes (training provided). • Load/unload trucks and assist with packaging finished goods. • Perform additional tasks as needed to complete assembly projects. Requirements • 1–3 years of relevant experience preferred. • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail. • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and basic schematics. • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office and custom applications). • Good time management, organization, and interpersonal skills. • Must follow safety rules and work independently in a deadline-driven environment. • Willingness to cross-train and move between departments as needed. • Frequent standing, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs), and repetitive motions. • Occasional exertion up to 100 lbs with assistance. • Activities include climbing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and grasping. Duties • Assemble mechanical parts and systems according to detailed schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings • Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other tools to ensure accurate assembly • Operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication machinery safely and effectively • Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams for proper assembly procedures • Perform machining, soldering, welding, and fabrication tasks as required for assembly projects • Utilize forklift and warehouse equipment to move materials within the facility • Conduct quality checks on assembled components to ensure compliance with specifications • Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards Experience • Prior experience in manufacturing or assembly environments is preferred • Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and the use of precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers • Knowledge of mechanical systems, fabrication techniques, welding, soldering, machining, and use of hand/power tools • Warehouse experience including operating forklifts is a plus • Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics accurately • Experience working with manufacturing or fabrication equipment is advantageous • Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance in assembly processes Hours: 1st shift 6am-2:30pm or 2nd shift 3:00pm- 11:30pm Start your application (copy and paste into browser): here: https://www.jjstaff.com/apply-now/ J & J pays WEEKLY and we offer Direct Deposit, Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits, Paid Time Off, and a $$$ Referral Bonus $$$ For more information contact our office at: 215-773-9773.
