IXL Learning Center of Birmingham is looking to hire a Lead GSRP Pre-K teacher for our child care center,. All work will be performed in-person in Birminhgam, MI. IXL Benefits: We are excited to offer our eligible employees • Competitive wages • Health insurance • Vision insurance • Dental insurance • Sick Pay (ESTA) • 401K with match • Paid holidays • Flexible scheduling • Childcare discount • Professional development assistance Lead Teacher Job Responsibilities: • Plan, supervise, and carry out education program as designed by IXL Learning Center • Responsible for the appearance of the classroom (ie. bulletin boards, care of equipment and materials, overall cleanliness, and organization) • Supervise children in classroom and on playground at all times, which may include lifting children and equipment • Share in classroom housekeeping and cleaning duties • Open, daily communication with parents • Lesson planning • Implementing strong classroom management • Maintain a positive and professional attitude Lead Teacher Requirements: • Looking for someone who is positive, caring, loving, and patient • Must work well with others • Able to lift children of varying ages and equipment of varying sizes • Educational requirements: Bachelors in Early Childhood Education, a Bachelors in Child Development, or Bachelors in Elementary Education with a ZA or ZS endorsement. Associates degree with ability to attain a Bachelors in early childhood education or child development with a focus on preschool teaching within three years of being hired. We will support an application to T.E.A.C.H. to help offset the higher education costs. Rate of pay is based on level of education and experience in the field.
