Position Summary This positionis responsible forthe domestic and international shipping operations, including shipment routes and carrier expectations. Works closely with the planning and sales departments to understand upcoming shipment needs and coordinates those needs with carriers. This position is in Hebron, KY, USA. Essential Responsibilities • Responsible for tracking / managing global inbound container shipments and outbound freight to customers around the world (mainly domestic). • Monitors market conditions (e.g.:capacityconstraints, surcharges, etc.) and collaborates with management to evaluate trade-offs between transportation costs, inventory costs, and service levels. • Effectively interacts with internal teams to define objectives , scope, and deliverables of domestic and/or international transportation solutions. • Ensure standard operating procedures are in place for all supply chain-related operations, including shippers, receivers, carriers, brokers, etc. • Help to optimize outbound small pack shipments by setting up / utilizing latest shipping hardware and software. Mainly UPS and FedEx • Effectively use Excel to analyze data, create KPI’s / metrics and be able to generate dashboards or PowerPoint presentations, as necessary. Position Requirements • Minimum of2years’ experience in domestic and internationallogistics • Excellent computer skillsrequired(MS Office Suite, ERP systems). SAP experience is strongly preferred. • Solid understanding of international trade to ensure compliance (HTS codes, etc …) • Able to coordinate timely actions across multiple countries. • Detail-oriented, able to compile large amounts of pertinent data into easily understood reports. • Due to global nature of the company, able to respond to situations at all hours. • Experience arranging shipment information including customer specific requirements (ex: packaging, labels, etc.) Safety is a core value at ITT.
