Technical Program Manager / Anaplan Application Manager itD is seeking a Technical Program Manager / Anaplan Application Manager to lead the definition, implementation, and delivery of complex, cross-functional Anaplan programs that drive high-impact business outcomes at Company. This role is critical to ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and continuous improvement of Anaplan solutions, while aligning business strategy, technical execution, and stakeholder engagement across Finance, Operations, and Engineering teams. The ideal candidate brings deep experience in enterprise performance management platforms—particularly Anaplan—and a proven track record of delivering scalable planning solutions, integrated reporting, and process improvements within scope, time, and budget constraints. Location: Remote, with required onsite meetings in New York, NY approximately once per month. Pay Rate: Target bill rate aligned to a maximum of $200K annualized for a 6-month engagement, depending on experience. We provide comprehensive medical benefits, a 401k plan, paid holidays, and more. Responsibilities Lead the program-level planning, execution, and delivery of Anaplan initiatives, ensuring alignment with scope, quality, timeline, and budget requirements. Collaborate with business stakeholders to define product strategy, roadmaps, impact metrics, and requirements that support Finance and operational planning outcomes. Manage cross-functional teams, including internal employees, matrixed resources, and external professional services vendors, to deliver Anaplan systems and enhancements. Design, build, and deploy Anaplan models, dashboards, and reports, ensuring data integrity, security, validation, and performance at scale. Translate business processes into technical requirements and design documentation, identifying opportunities for process optimization through Anaplan. Oversee integration efforts between Anaplan and upstream/downstream systems in partnership with Data Engineers and application teams. Monitor project risks, issues, dependencies, and contingencies, providing clear status reporting and executive-level communication. Provide application support and troubleshooting, responding quickly to incidents and ensuring adherence to SLAs and operational metrics. Drive data governance, data quality, and consistency across Anaplan and integrated systems, while enabling insights through data analysis. Plan and execute stakeholder communications, training, and change management to support successful adoption and user experience. Internal Responsibilities Attend regular internal practice community meetings. Collaborate with your itD practice team on industry thought leadership. Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material). Build out material to contribute to the Digital Transformation practice. Attend internal itD networking events (in person and virtual). Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities. Required Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 5+ years of experience planning, developing, implementing, and supporting Anaplan at scale. 3+ years of experience implementing performance management solutions using platforms such as Anaplan or comparable EPM technologies. Proven experience delivering complex programs involving multiple projects, cross-functional dependencies, and moderate risk profiles. Demonstrated expertise in requirements gathering, business process analysis, system design, and technical documentation. Experience managing professional services vendors and matrixed project teams. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business and technical teams. Experience driving business outcomes through SLA management, prioritization, and operational metrics. Hands-on experience with structured project methodologies for requirements, data conversions, and system integrations. Preferred Qualifications and Skills Master’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Certified Anaplan Solution Architect. Experience implementing Anaplan at two or more organizations. Working knowledge of financial, sales, or operational planning processes. Experience with Agile or other SDLC methodologies. Working knowledge of relational databases and query languages (e.g., SQL or ANSI SQL). Education Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience required.
