Job Title: Managing Editor Company Overview: ISPOR is the global leader in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), dedicated to advancing healthcare decision-making worldwide. Role Overview: As the Managing Editor, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the editorial process to ensure the delivery of accurate, timely, and impactful scientific content. Your expertise will help drive ISPOR’s mission to promote HEOR and improve healthcare outcomes globally. What You'll Do: - You will manage the end-to-end editorial process for ISPOR’s publications, ensuring content quality and consistency. - You will collaborate with authors, reviewers, and editorial boards to facilitate peer review and content development. - You will oversee the scheduling and production timelines to meet publication deadlines. - You will ensure adherence to ethical standards and publishing guidelines. - You will coordinate with marketing and communications teams to promote published content. - You will analyze readership metrics and feedback to continuously improve editorial strategies. - You will mentor and guide junior editorial staff to foster professional growth. - You will stay current with trends in HEOR and scientific publishing to maintain ISPOR’s leadership position. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of editorial experience, preferably in scientific or healthcare publishing. - Strong knowledge of health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) concepts. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proficiency with editorial management systems and digital publishing tools. - Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. - Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders. Bonus Points If You Have: - Experience working with international scientific organizations or societies. - Background in healthcare, economics, or related academic qualifications. - Familiarity with ethical guidelines in scientific publishing. - Experience in content marketing or communications.
