Job Title: Managing Editor Company Overview: ISPOR is the global leader in health economics and outcomes research (HEOR), dedicated to advancing healthcare decision-making worldwide. With a commitment to scientific excellence and innovation, ISPOR supports a diverse community of professionals through high-quality content and educational resources. Role Overview: As the Managing Editor, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and overseeing the editorial content that drives ISPOR’s mission. You will ensure the accuracy, clarity, and impact of scientific publications, working closely with authors, reviewers, and internal teams to maintain the highest standards. What You'll Do: - You will manage the end-to-end editorial process for ISPOR’s scientific publications. - You will collaborate with authors, reviewers, and stakeholders to ensure content quality and relevance. - You will oversee the peer review process, coordinating timely and constructive feedback. - You will develop and implement editorial policies and guidelines. - You will lead a team of editorial staff, providing mentorship and support. - You will work with cross-functional teams to align content with organizational goals. - You will monitor industry trends to keep ISPOR’s content current and impactful. - You will contribute to strategic planning for content development and dissemination. What You Bring: - Minimum of 5 years of editorial experience, preferably in scientific or healthcare publishing. - Strong knowledge of health economics, outcomes research, or related fields. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. - Experience with peer review processes and editorial management systems. - Leadership skills with experience managing editorial teams. Bonus Points If You Have: - Advanced degree in health economics, public health, or related discipline. - Experience working in a global or non-profit organization. - Familiarity with digital publishing platforms and content management systems. - Multilingual abilities or experience working with international authors.
