Title- IT Technical Manager (DW/BI Reporting) Duration: 08/04/2025 - TBD Shift Timings: Mon – Fri – 8am – 5pm CST Location: 1701 North Congress Avenue, Austin, Texas 78711-2967 Position: Remote We’re seeking a Technical Project Manager with deep experience delivering enterprise reporting and analytics solutions. In this role, you will lead cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle—requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment of dashboards, ETL pipelines, and reporting platforms (e.g., Power BI, SSRS). You’ll partner closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and QA to translate reporting needs into scalable technical solutions, ensuring on-time delivery and data quality. . The Candidate will be responsible for delivering multiple Reports and Extracts-related projects on schedule and within approved scope by applying project management best practices, ensuring scope alignment, managing stakeholder expectations, and tracking project risks and issues. The ideal candidate will have technical acumen to understand architecture and integration efforts from multiple database technologies and provide oversight across SDLC phases of report and extract development using Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies. • Project Planning & Execution o Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations for reporting initiatives. o Define clear milestones: requirements sign-off, data mapping, ETL or ELT build, report development, quality testing, and production cutover. • Requirements & Stakeholder Management o Facilitate workshops with business units to elicit reporting requirements and KPI definitions. o Document functional specifications, data mapping for source and target, data dictionaries, including data quality and data integrity within the acceptance criteria; manage change control when scope shifts. o Engage with cross-functional teams, including quality, to ensure alignment of requirements and DW, DL, and ODS systems design. o Develop a deep understanding of the RRC DW, DL, and ODS systems processes and operational challenges. o Experience initiating and completing business intelligence (BI) reports and dashboards, data warehousing and/or analytical projects with minimal guidance o Simplify complex issues and deliver clear and concise information to all level of technical and business users within RRC. o Negotiate with business users to define project scope for development and deployment of new reports and extracts, from the pre-determined mainframe reports and extract scope. Schedule and deliverables must follow a strict path as it must be coordinated with other efforts. The estimation of technical efforts and identification of risks must be known and tracked for each effort. o Foster and maintain strong relationships with business users and IT Technical staff. • Technical Oversight o Coordinate with data architects and engineers on ETL design (IDMC, SQL, SSIS, SSRS, Azure Data Factory, Mulesoft, GoAnywhere, and the Scheduling Tool) and data modeling (snowflake/star schemas, Slowly Changing Dimensions, Normalizations, cubes, dashboards, etc.). o Oversee report/dashboard development in Power BI, and possibly SSRS, ensuring performance tuning and security (row-level). Minimum Requirements: Candidates that do not meet or exceed the minimum stated requirements (skills/experience) will be displayed to customers but may not be chosen for this opportunity. Years Required/Preferred Experience Required Graduation from an accredited four-year college or univer sity with a degree in computer science or a related field 8 Required Experience managing SDLC-based projects using Agile/S crum 8 Required Experience with reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, SSR S) and ETL technologies (IDMC, SSIS, Azure Data Facto ry). 8 Required Strong SQL skills and understanding of data warehousing concepts (snowflakes/star schemas, Slowly Changing Dimension, Datamart, Datalake, ODS, OLAP). 8 Required Experiencein building Enterprise Datawarehouse, Datamart, Data Lake, Operational Data Store. 6 Required Strong leadership and ability to manage cross-functional technical teams 6 Required Experience with resource planning, project budgeting, and vendor coordination 6 Optional Experience with mainframe modernization or transformati on projects (added advantage) 6 Required Excellent communication, presentation, and reporting skil ls 6 Required Experience in creating project plans, dashboards, Gantt ch arts, and executive status reports 6 Required Meticulous attention to detail with an ability to produce hi gh-quality work in a dynamic environment 6 Required Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects at once and meet deadlines 6 Required Extensive skill in effective verbal and written communicat ions with stakeholders
