Our platform streamlines workflows, enabling doctors to focus on patient care while ensuring seamless EHR integration. At iScribeHealth, we empower our employees to make a meaningful impact—both for themselves and the patients we serve. As the CloudOps Engineer, you will design, manage, and optimize a secure, scalable, and observable cloud infrastructure on Azure. This role is both hands-on and strategic—ideal for someone excited to shape deployment architecture, improve reliability, and ensure compliance in a fast-paced healthcare technology environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Cloud Infrastructure Leadership & Cost Optimization Lead the design and management of iScribeHealth’s secure, scalable Azure Cloud Infrastructure supporting our AI-driven healthcare platform. • Architect high-availability systems leveraging Azure App Services, AKS, SQL, Blob Storage, and Front Door. • Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) for standardized, version-controlled deployments. • Drive cost-optimization strategies that balance performance, scalability, and spend. • Collaborate across Product and Engineering to align infrastructure with business and user needs. • Maintain strong observability practices using Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Sentry, and Grafana. • Monitor and respond to production alerts to ensure uptime and rapid incident resolution. • Lead SEV 1–3 incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to drive ongoing improvements. Security, Compliance, and Audit Readiness Safeguard systems and ensure compliance within a regulated healthcare environment. • Oversee secure secrets management through Azure Key Vault and managed identities. • Integrate DevSecOps best practices into all stages of development. • Partner with Security and Compliance to support HIPAA and SOC2 readiness, assist with security audits, and remediate findings. • Maintain robust access controls and documentation aligned with industry Operational Excellence & System Reliability Own uptime, maintenance, and system performance across environments. • Define and track SLAs and reliability KPIs; communicate outcomes to stakeholders. • Schedule and manage platform maintenance and updates to minimize disruption. • Continuously optimize infrastructure for speed, reliability, and scalability as the company grows. • Evaluate emerging tools and technologies that improve deployment efficiency and observability. Device & Asset Management Establish systems for managing and securing company devices and digital assets. • Oversee provisioning, compliance, and lifecycle management of employee hardware. • Ensure device policies align with company security protocols and access controls. Leadership & Collaboration Provide mentorship, direction, and alignment across the Technology organization. • Collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, and Support to ensure reliable releases and infrastructure transparency. • Communicate system health, project priorities, and incident learnings clearly across teams and leadership. Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience in Cloud Operations, preferably with Azure. • Strong knowledge of high-availability, production-grade systems. • Expertise in infrastructure-as-code, and automation-first approaches. • Familiarity with uptime monitoring, SLAs, and incident response protocols. • Deep understanding of security and compliance in regulated industries. • Strong collaboration and communication skills to interface with technical and non-technical teams. • Experience in healthcare or handling PII/PHI environments. • Familiarity with SOC 2 audits and HIPAA frameworks. • Knowledge of zero-downtime deployment strategies (blue/green, canary). • Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell. • Experience managing backend services for mobile apps or multi-region systems. How do I apply? At iScribeHealth, we assign specific attributes and characteristics to each role. This helps us identify candidates whose natural strengths align with the demands of the position—contributing to both job satisfaction and long-term success. Our goal is to ensure that employees feel confident and fulfilled in their roles, rather than feeling like they have to stretch themselves unnaturally every day to meet expectations. The survey includes only two questions and typically takes less than 10 minutes to complete. For the second question, “Describe How You Should Behave at Work,” please answer based on your behavior in your current or most recent role—not the role you’re applying for. You can access the survey using the following link: iScribeHealth Once the survey is completed email resume to recruiting@iscribehealth.com Why Join Us? • Opportunity to impact the future of healthcare technology and AI-driven solutions. • Competitive salary and benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, HSA/FSA, 401k and more. • Collaborative, dynamic team environment focused on innovation and growth. iScribeHealth is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
