Iron Mountain is seeking a highly experienced Senior Director, Data Centers Capital Management to join our Data Centers team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing executive leadership to optimize capital expenditures (CapEx) strategy, ensuring accurate financial forecasting, on-budget spending, and alignment with the Data Centers business's long-range performance goals. This critical leadership role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Data Centers and manages strategic multi-year planning and capital expenditures. What You’ll Do In this role, you will: Data Center Capital Tracking & Optimization: Provide executive leadership for Data Centers' CapEx strategy, focusing on efficiency, cost management, and ROI. Lead capital budget management to maximize ROI, ensuring efficient deployment. Implement strict governance for CapEx, particularly for Ready-For-Service (RFS) and scope changes. Improve cost tracking and forecasting to mitigate cost overruns. Drive cost reductions by addressing project delays and supply chain issues. Streamline procurement reporting to enhance cash flow. Support automation of financial data for better decision-making speed and quality. Financial Controls and Risk Management (CapEx Focus): Strengthen financial integrity and governance for the CapEx pipeline. Enhance governance for non-construction capital (e.g., IT hardware, long-lead components). Standardize change management and cost approvals for non-construction CapEx. Identify and manage key financial risks (R&O) like procurement and supply chain delays. Partner with Accounting on CapEx continuous improvement and reporting Strategic Planning & Executive Leadership: Act as the focal point for Data Centers strategy and lead the strategic multi-year plan, including P&L and capital modeling. Assist leadership with continuous improvement and capacity planning. Partner with FP&A and Strategy/Corporate Development, managing capital spending (uses) alongside corporate development experts (sources). What You’ll Bring The ideal candidate will have: 10-15 years of business experience, with several in a senior financial or operational leadership role. Highly preferred: Experience managing large-scale capital budgets in data center, critical infrastructure, or technology. Proven expertise in financial planning and execution of complex capital projects. Trusted advisor to senior executives, capable of problem-solving complex, ambiguous situations. Strong communication skills to simplify financial information for executive, board, and investor audiences. Effective change agent for complex initiatives. International experience is a plus.
