Manage 3PL and warehousing partners to build and operate offsite warehousing network including inventory accuracy and process design.
Requires 8+ years in warehousing or 3PL management with leadership experience, hands-on facility setup, and WMS/ERP knowledge.
Description Job Type: Full-Time | Location: Remote- TX | Department: Procurement | Reporting to: Head of Procurement | Work Location Type: #remote IREN is a vertically integrated AI Cloud provider, delivering large-scale data centers and GPU clusters for AI training and inference. IREN’s platform is underpinned by its expansive portfolio of grid-connected land and power in renewable-rich regions across North America, Europe and APAC. IREN is building data centers at pace, and we're looking for a Manager, Third Party Logistics & Warehousing to build the offsite warehousing network that keeps that program moving. Reporting to the Director, Warehousing, Inventory Control & Logistics, you'll select and manage our 3PL and warehousing partners, design the receiving, storage, staging and release processes at each facility, and own the accuracy of all inventory held offsite. This is a build role, not a maintenance one: you'll stand up storage capacity quickly, put repeatable SOPs and inventory controls in place, and lead the move from spreadsheets to a formal inventory management platform. While our Logistics Manager handles freight, customs and internal equipment movement, you own everything from the warehouse gate until material is released to site. If you want the autonomy to design something from scratch and see your work directly enable a major infrastructure build, this role is for you. With 100% renewable energy, we build, own and operate our data centers and take pride in being at the forefront of sustainable solutions for the ever-evolving applications of high-performance compute. We believe that human progress is invaluable, but it should be done in the right way – responsibly, sustainably and having a positive impact on the communities we operate in. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. • 8+ years of experience in warehousing, 3PL management, or inventory operations, including 3+ years leading teams and/or third party providers. • Demonstrated experience standing up new warehouse or 3PL facilities — site selection input, layout, SOP design and go-live. • Hands-on experience selecting and managing 3PL warehousing providers, including contract negotiation, SLA/KPI governance and cost control. • Strong working knowledge of warehouse and inventory control disciplines — receiving, put-away, cycle counting, stock accuracy, kitting and staging. • Practical WMS/ERP experience, including moving operations from manual or spreadsheet-based tracking onto a formal system. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to hold providers to account and work effectively across construction, engineering and finance teams. • Willingness to travel domestically up to 30–40% to warehouses, logistics hubs and active construction sites. Preferred: • Experience supporting data center, hyperscale, colocation or large industrial capital construction programs. • Familiarity with long-lead electrical/mechanical equipment (switchgear, generators, transformers, UPS, cooling systems) and IT hardware handling. • APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or an equivalent supply chain credential. • Exposure to bonded warehousing, foreign trade zones, or import staging operations. • Experience applying Lean/Six Sigma or continuous-improvement methodologies in a warehousing environment. • Travel, as required (domestic, up to 30–40%)
