The Director, Supply Chain Governance, Risk and Intelligence owns the modernization of IREN’s global supply chain approach to supplier management, risk mitigation and market insights to enable the organization to scale and compete. Reporting to the Sr. Director, Strategy and Transformation, this leader is the primary strategy architect of systems and frameworks for supplier performance management, risk management, cost benchmarking, and market intelligence to make informed decisions. This leader partners with business owners across Technical Sourcing, Planning, Hardware Procurement Supply Chain Business Operations, Quality Engineering, Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Analystics to map current-state capabilities, identify gaps, and deliver practical solutions that create immediate impact for functional teams while supporting future scale. * Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. * 12+ years of progressive supply chain technology leadership experience, ideally at a hyperscaler, cloud provider, or AI infrastructure company. * Strong background in interpreting and actioning upon Market Intelligence in the hyperscaler/neocloud industry and across technology supply chains. * Experience in cost management and negotiation, leveraging cost benchmarking to make informed decisions. * Experience managing supplier relationships and performance management, including leading business reviews and supplier scorecards. * Demonstrated success in developing and implementing performance evaluation metrics, supplier scorecards and KPIs across internal supply chain teams and with suppliers. Strong understanding of performance measurements that drive a supply chain organization. * Hands-on experience developing and implementing supply chain business processes and systems capabilities that support data center-centric products and business models, including OFCI, compute (CPU/GPU), storage, networking, and CM/ODM/JDM manufacturing. * Experience selecting and managing systems implementation partners and software vendors, including scope definition, statements of work, and delivery accountability for cost, schedule, and quality. * Strong executive presence and change management skills, with a track record of influencing and aligning senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders, and driving adoption of new capabilities. * Co-develop IREN’s Supply Chain supplier and risk management strategy with the Sr. Director, Strategy and Transformation, and own the framework and tools portfolio and multi-year systems roadmap that bring it to life. * Build and lead a high-performing team, establishing best practices, KPIs, and governance cadences as IREN’s application portfolio scales. * Partner with internal teams to capture existing processes and develop a prioritized implementation roadmap that introduces new capabilities with clear business outcomes. * Establish a supplier management framework to govern critical relationships and performance manage, including frameworks and templates for Executive and Quarterly Business Reviews with suppliers and supplier scorecards. * Establish a risk management framework to govern sourcing strategies, supplier selection and supplier performance. * Establish a market intelligence framework to gain insights and inform decisions, including cost and supply insights. * Understand business requirements and translate them into solutions. * Own process and compliance documentation for use across organization. * Identify, prioritize, and deploy AI/ML and automation use cases across risk, supplier performance and governance. * Develop and manage relationships with systems implementation partners to execute design strategies, holding them accountable for delivery, cost, and quality. * Identify the critical skillsets needed to support and advance capabilities across the supply chain application portfolio. Other important requirements * Pre-employment screening, including background check and substance testing may be required according to company policies. * Must be able to reliably commute to the assigned office location on scheduled in-office days under the hybrid work arrangement. * This role requires willingness to travel domestically and internationally to supplier and vendor sites, data centers, implementation partner locations, and industry events. IREN does not yet have an office in the Bay Area (a Santa Clara office is planned); until it opens, this role will work remotely, transitioning to hybrid on-site work once the office is established.
