We’re looking for a Software Engineering Manager with a strong leadership mindset, excellent communication skills, and a background in backend development. This role will require close collaboration with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, and you must be comfortable navigating a highly structured environment with tight oversight. You’ll be expected to lead by example, manage expectations, and maintain excellent technical and interpersonal communication. Requirements: • 5+ years of software engineering experience. • Excellent English communication skills (C1+). • Proven experience leading engineering teams. • Strong soft skills, including negotiation, time management, and conflict resolution. • Proficient in Java for backend/API development. • Experience using API tools like Postman, Insomnia, or curl. • Monitoring expertise with tools like DataDog or similar. • Python scripting experience. • Experience using AI tools for development (e.g., Claude, Gemini CLI). • Advanced English communication skills - Minimum C1 level proficiency • Send your application and CV in English (mandatory) • Based in Latin America Key Responsibilities: • Lead a team of engineers and drive technical direction on complex projects. • Design, build, and monitor APIs using Java and Python. • Collaborate with stakeholders, navigate competing priorities, and manage team dynamics. • Utilize monitoring tools like DataDog to maintain system health and performance. • Script and automate solutions using Python. • Leverage AI developer tools (Claude, Gemini CLI, etc.) for enhanced productivity.
