What the role involves: The Protective Intelligence Analyst plays a central role in the organization’s proactive security posture, specializing in the identification, analysis, and escalation of digital, open-source and social media-based threats targeting key personnel, leadership, and business functions. This position is focused on early threat detection and continuous investigation through digital exploitation, ensuring the security of operations and continuity of mission-critical activities. Using advanced open-source intelligence (OSINT) techniques, digital forensics tools, and commercial monitoring platforms, the Protective Intelligence Analyst (Cyber) conducts in-depth investigations into threat actors, hostile narratives, and online behavioral indicators. The role supports Executive Protection, Brand Security, and other teams as required by producing timely threat alerts, adversary profiles, and tailored risk assessments informed by digital ecosystem analysis, and to some degree, human intelligence techniques. The position requires strong operational security judgment, deep knowledge of social media and surface/deep web environments, and the ability to gather and connect pieces of online information (such as posts, messages, connected networks and activity patterns) and turn them into clear, reliable insights about potential threats, synthesizing the information into relatable reporting formats. Monitor social media platforms and open-source channels to identify and assess threats targeting company personnel and operations. Use tools to gather and analyze digital footprints, affiliations, behaviors, and potential risk indicators. Produce clear and concise intelligence reports and threat assessments to support Executive Protection, Risk Management and Security teams. Conduct deep-dive investigations into individuals or groups that pose a reputational or physical risk, including digital identity attribution and DNS history correlation. Create and maintain watchlists and alerting protocols for active threat monitoring and recurring analysis. Support executive travel planning through geopolitical research, local incident analysis, and regional threat forecasts. Liaise with cross-functional teams (Legal, Comms, Security, HR) to ensure aligned incident response, especially around sensitive threat cases. Respond rapidly to emerging threats and provide real-time intelligence updates during high-visibility events or travel. Who you are: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Intelligence Studies, Cybersecurity, International Relations, or related field Equivalent practical experience in threat analysis, executive protection support, or OSINT research will be considered Preferred: Certifications in OSINT (e.g. OSC, SANS SEC487, McAfee Institute CCII or C/OSINT), Intelligence Analysis, or Executive Protection Support 3–7 years in threat intelligence, investigative research, or executive protection support Demonstrated ability to conduct online investigations using commercial and open-source platforms Experience supporting corporate security, risk mitigation, or protective operations Familiarity with travel risk management tools and threat monitoring systems Tools/Platforms Experience: for example- CLEAR, Tangles, Maltego, SEERIST, WHOIS tools, Google Dorking, Domain Tools, intelligence dashboards, alerting systems, others as applicable Experience identifying indicators of threats through digital profiling and behavioral analysis Familiarity with FINTECH and Crypto/Blockchain Familiarity with geopolitical risk landscapes and how they intersect with business operations Experience producing intelligence products tailored for Executive Protection or Physical Security teams Ability to balance persistent monitoring with deep-dive investigations OSINT tradecraft and use of intelligence tools (for example: Tangles, CLEAR, Maltego, WHOIS, SEERIST, etc.) Digital foot printing and DNS/metadata tracing Structured threat analysis and reporting Use of AI to track and flag threat reporting Strong written communication and reporting for executive-level stakeholders Risk prioritization and contextual decision-making Collaboration with legal, and comms teams Discretion and ethical handling of sensitive information Curiosity, tenacity, and creative problem-solving The base salary for this position has a range of $90 - $100k per year at the commencement of employment. Any offer is determined by overall experience and performance during the interview process. This is only part of the total compensation package.
