This is a remote position. Join Our Team as a Payroll Officer! Are you detail-oriented, organized, and passionate about ensuring accuracy in payroll? We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Officer to take charge of our end-to-end payroll process. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in making sure our employees are paid correctly and on time, while ensuring compliance with Australian laws and company policies. This is your chance to contribute to a dynamic team, work with leading payroll systems, and support both our Finance and HR functions. This is a contractual position with a fixed term of employment from November 1, 2025, to March 31, 2026Job Responsibilities:• Process payroll (weekly, fortnightly, or monthly) using payroll software such as Xero, MYOB, KeyPay, or Employment Hero.• Check and update employee details such as new hires, resignations, salary changes,and leave.• Review time sheets, overtime, allowances, and deductions.• Make sure payroll is correct based on Australian awards, agreements, and Fair Workrules.• Calculate and report PAYG tax, superannuation (retirement contribution), and payroll tax.• Invoicing of a few key clients using timesheet-related information• Creation and maintenance of job information in company CRM• Monitor of shared accounts inbox and action of any items relating to known clients/invoices• Other ad hoc AP and AR-related items as required (training given for all new tasks)• Answer payroll-related questions from staff (e.g. payslips, leave balances).• Prepare payroll reports and assist Finance/HR with reconciliations and audits.• Facilitate any flex benefit transactions & ESOP updates• Leave management , Assist with Parental leave calculation• Assist with Payroll tax calculations• Superannuation management• Assist with Work Safe calculations Requirements • Tertiary Accounting Qualifications • At least 2 years payroll experience, preferably handling Australian accounts.• Knowledge of Australian payroll laws such as Fair Work, superannuation, andtaxation is an advantage.• Experience using payroll systems (Xero, MYOB, ADP, KeyPay, Employment Hero)preferred.• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.• Good communication skills (both written and verbal).• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.• Must maintain confidentiality with sensitive employee information Benefits • Competitive Compensation Package:An attractive salary and comprehensive benefits aligned with market standards. • Work-Life Balance Support:Paid time off, wellness programs, and initiatives designed to enhance employees' work-life balance and personal productivity. • Career Growth and Development:Opportunities for training and development to help employees advance their skills and grow within the company. • Supportive Leadership:A collaborative environment with leaders who provide guidance, mentorship, and recognition to empower employees in their roles Ready to Shape the Future?
