What Makes You a Great Fit • Post-secondary education in Public Relations, Communications, or a related field, with a minimum of three years of work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. • Lived caregiving experience as an adoptive, kinship, or customary care parent, or significant exposure to other forms of family permanency. • Knowledge of marginalized or underserved communities' experiences within child welfare systems is an asset. • Experience working with African Canadian and Indigenous families is an asset. • Experience or knowledge related to Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Aggression toward Family/Caregivers in Childhood & Adolescence (AFCCA), developmental trauma, and attachment disorders is an asset. • Ability to participate in stakeholder groups and consultations. • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with community leaders, service providers, organizational partners, and families. • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English and French (bilingualism required). • Comfortable speaking on camera and creating simple video content • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with directional guidance and supervision. • Sound judgment, cultural humility, and strong ethical standards. • Proficiency with social media groups, collaboration tools, and software applications.
