Full Description

Interview Query is a profitable, founder-led company looking for its first dedicated operations leader. This isn't a typical ops role where you're just managing existing processes. You will be the architect of our operational foundation, reporting directly to the founder and working as their key partner in turning strategy into execution. If you are a natural systems-thinker who loves bringing order to chaos and wants to see your work directly impact the bottom line, this is your chance to build an entire company's operating system from the ground up. Note that this will likely be a contractor to full-time conversion after three months. Responsibilities Your core mission is to build and manage the systems that allow our company to scale efficiently. Your focus will start with our content engine and then expand to our go-to-market motion or our customer success motion. The directive is extremely clear - take a process, own it, systematize it, make sure it’s running smoothly, and then expand and move on to the next broken process. • Oversee the end-to-end operational process for launching new content verticals, from initial brief to final publication • Manage the content production calendar and ensure it aligns with the growth strategy and priorities set by the Founder and Product Manager • Design, document, and implement scalable systems for content creation, team collaboration, and project management, leveraging AI and automation to improve efficiency • Manage and hire a team of freelance writers, editors, operations assistants, and subject matter experts, including hiring, onboarding, and quality control. • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to help execute our vision and strategy. • Onboard and lead the go-to-market motion for our B2B business by taking the existing operational process and scaling it out as needed. Requirements: • You have 3 to 7+ years of experience in an operations, program management, or project management role, preferably in a content-heavy or tech startup environment • You are a natural systems-thinker. You have a proven track record of diagnosing broken processes and building scalable, documented systems to fix them. • You have experience managing people, whether they are direct reports, freelancers, or cross-functional teams. You know how to get the best out of them. • You are tech-savvy and have experience implementing tools (including AI) to make teams more efficient and productive. • You operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability, taking ownership of outcomes, not just tasks. • You are an excellent communicator and thrive in a remote, asynchronous environment. • You aren’t afraid to put in the extra hours when needing to get something over the finish line or motivate the team through a plateau. • You are extremely ambitious and see this as a stepping stone towards running a bigger company on your own or growing a startup to a much larger organization. • Nice to have: You have past experience with data science and AI • Nice to have: You have previous experience in the ed-tech/hiring industry or have worked with both content and sales operations in the past.
