Overview We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Assistant Director for our Internship Program to lead and enhance our educational initiatives. This is a volunteer position with a monthly transportation stipend offers an exciting opportunity to shape future professionals by overseeing internship operations, fostering leadership development, and ensuring program excellence. Responsibilities • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand and improve the internship program, aligning with organizational goals and educational standards • Manage program budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maintaining high-quality internship experiences • Oversee the recruitment, onboarding, and supervision of interns, providing mentorship and leadership to foster their professional growth • Collaborate with university partners and faculty to coordinate internship placements, curriculum integration, and evaluation processes • Monitor program performance through data collection, feedback analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives • Lead team efforts in organizing training sessions, workshops, and networking events for interns and staff • Ensure compliance with institutional policies, legal requirements, and best practices in education administration Qualifications • Experience in management within an educational or organizational setting, preferably with university or academic institution involvement (this is a plus not a requirement, and we value passion and desire for professional development.) • Strong background in strategic planning, budgeting, and program development • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams and build collaborative relationships • Knowledge of education administration principles and internship program best practices • Experience working directly with students or interns in a teaching or mentorship capacity • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with university partners, faculty, interns, and internal teams • Bachelor’s degree not required; any educational, business or nonprofit management, program nanagement, social work studies, community work - related field preferred.
