COORDINATOR DESCRIPTION The Warehouse Operations Coordinator oversees warehouse and logistics personnel and manages the processes and workflows related to receiving, shipping, and inventory. They participate in expense management, facility and equipment upkeep, organizational planning, and ongoing continuous improvement efforts. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES The Coordinator does the following. • Directs and coordinates warehousing activities related to product receiving, handling, shipping, and inventory • Oversees employee management practices, including employee vetting, hiring, training, scheduling, work assignments, annual reviews, disciplinary write-ups, continuous improvement, and terminations • Oversees inventory cycle counts; works with the Inventory Captain to investigate and reconcile count discrepancies and rotation issues • Responsibly manages expenses; gathers and analyzes warehousing and logistics performance to measure productivity and assess progress toward budgetary and efficiency targets • Responsible for warehouse operations compliance with internal standards and all relevant local, state, and federal regulations • Coordinates with other leadership and team members to design and implement departmental objectives, policies, procedures, and assessment methods • Works closely members of the Facilities and Safety team to proactively address equipment, infrastructure, and training needs related to facilities and safety • Works with other Operations Coordinators and Captains to participate in regular management reviews geared toward continuous process improvement • Contributes to the team by performing other work as necessary QUALIFICATIONS • Experience in warehousing and distribution, preferably in the food industry • Experience in human resources management • Leadership, conflict resolution, and project management experience; ability to communicate • clearly and motivate a team • Familiarity with compliance, including quality standards and good manufacturing practices (GMPs) • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team, changing gears when required • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills • Excellent data-entry skills with attention to detail • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Forms, Outlook, Planner, SharePoint, Teams, and Word • On-call availability in emergency situations • Bilingual communications skills (English and Spanish) preferred PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES • Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator: ability to work with individuals from diverse cultures, backgrounds, levels, and roles; high level of energy and self-motivation • Sense of urgency: an ability to work quickly and accurately; ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate • Creative and persistent problem solver: has a problem-solving mindset with good project and time management skills; solution-oriented • Detail-oriented: has a keen eye for details without losing sight of the big picture • Integrity: honest, discreet, and trustworthy; does what is right and necessary • Humility: demonstrates humility and flexibility; recognizes achievements of others • Curiosity and growth mindset: willingness to learn and grow • Efficient and organized: able to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS • Must be able to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time • Must be able to access and navigate every department within the organization • Must be able to bend, lift (at least 55 lb.), stretch, and climb (including ladders) • Must be able to sustain prolonged periods of standing and walking • Must be able to work across temperature zones (dry/refrigerated/frozen) • Must be able to work at heights up to 60 feet using ladders, lifts, and MHE; must be able and willing to operate equipment as needed • Requires bending, sitting, standing, walking, use of hands, arms, legs, eyes, and voice REQUIRED ASSESSMENT TO COMPLETE All candidates must complete the following assessment in order to be considered for this role.
