## Key Role Overview Perform complex automatic machine operation functions across encapsulation and packaging operations to support production goals, quality standards, and c. GMP compliance. The role involves setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining automatic encapsulation and complex packaging machines, collaborating with supervisors, maintenance, engineering, and production staff, and training new personnel. ## Key Responsibilities - Operate automatic encapsulation and complex packaging machines, including setup, changeover, breakdown, and minor adjustments using hand tools. - Evaluate production output to ensure machines run at optimal levels and produce quality results; inspect capsules and packaged products per inspection guidelines. - Troubleshoot production and equipment problems and take corrective action; prioritize maintenance requests and assist maintenance as needed. - Perform material handling tasks such as moving, stacking, and loading buckets, tubs, boxes, and bins of materials/products. - Complete required documentation accurately and legibly per established guidelines and maintain clean, orderly work areas (including cleaning machines and surrounding areas). - Recognize out-of-control events, discontinue operations when necessary, and resume only when issues are remedied. - Train others, support co-workers, and participate in task forces to improve procedures and operations. - Perform other duties as assigned (including polishing capsules, hand sorting, washing parts) and work overtime/weekends as required. - Pass and re-qualify annually for all job-related tests and certifications required for working in a c. GMP quality environment. ## Required Qualifications - High school diploma or GED (listed as required/preferred in the posting). - Legal right to work in the United States and ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. - Ability to read, write, and communicate in English; basic shop math, algebra, and computer skills. - Mechanical aptitude, ability to read and interpret safety/environmental policies, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. - Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to follow policies/procedures and meet schedules independently; ability to work under pressure and potentially stressful conditions. ## Preferred Qualifications - 1–3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, electronic, chemical, cosmetics, food) preferred. - Prior packaging experience preferred. - Experience with FDA/c. GMP compliance preferred. ## Compensation & Benefits - Salary range: $50,000 - $62,500 per year. - (No specific additional benefits listed in the posting; relocation packages are not being offered at this time.) ## Additional Information - Shift: Swing shift — Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. - Location: Clackamas, OR (Pacific Northwest region); relocation assistance is not available for out-of-area applicants. - Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required. - Must successfully pass and re-qualify annually for all job-related tests and certifications required for a c.
