Full Stack Software Engineer React | FastAPI | Aerospace Industry 7+ Years Experience Full Stack Scrum / Agile POSITION OVERVIEW We are expanding our engineering team to support multiple projects for a large aerospace company, focused on sustaining existing capabilities while delivering new functionality. This full stack role will contribute to both a modern React-based front-end application and a brand-new FastAPI back-end service — both supporting critical transactional business workflows already in an advanced stage of development. RESPONSIBILITIES Front-End • Develop and enhance front-end features using React • Implement user interfaces using Material UI as the primary UI framework • Integrate front-end components with back-end APIs • Support secure authentication using Microsoft Single Sign-On (SSO) • Deliver high-quality, maintainable UI code in an active development environment Back-End • Develop and maintain back-end services using the FastAPI framework • Build APIs to support transactional workflows and business-critical data • Collaborate with front-end developers and product partners to deliver end-to-end functionality • Write and maintain unit tests using Pytest Team & Process • Participate in Scrum ceremonies and ad hoc meetings to align with team goals • Work from established designs and contribute to an advanced-stage application REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE • 7+ years of experience as a software engineer/developer • Strong proficiency in React for building transactional or form-heavy user interfaces • Hands-on experience with Material UI • Familiarity with authentication flows, specifically Microsoft SSO • Strong proficiency in Python with hands-on experience using FastAPI • Experience building transactional, data-driven back-end applications • Familiarity with unit testing frameworks, specifically Pytest • • Ability to work within an existing design and advanced development environment
